Well, Wendell Carter isn't enough and Bulls are rumored to want to move on from Zach Lavine. Tell me what you think would be a fair deal with Chicago that passes salary cap muster?

Maybe Chicago would want more for Zach Lavine than an expiring and a couple of middling or poor prospects?

When these things are done, it's important to look beyond "how does this help my favorite team..."

I think its pretty fair for Chicago since Carter and Lavine are rumored to be on the trading block and I don't think are viewed as long term fits there, but most importantly, Chicago would get pick 1. If you think a pick or another player should go to Chicago, then by all means suggest how you'd alter the proposed trade or give me your trade scenario rather than a blanket criticism.

No. Because the trade is so far skewed against Chicago right now that there's nothing salvageable about it. No team is going to literally give away a 26 ppg scorer just because you're a fan of another team fleecing them in the mythical trade.

Yeah Simmons was joking how Presti has vowed to never be beaten in a trade again since Harden. Presti really has done an amazing job averting disaster in a small market.

How does that match salary wise? Green makes more than Al?

The Thunder are becoming the Celtics of several years ago. They've done incredibly well stockpiling assets, but they'll need to cash in some of those assets for All-Stars. That's the part that Boston actually failed to do despite actually drafting well. How many times did we hear the Celtics were rumored to acquire a Kevin Love, DeMarcus Cousins, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Davis, etc.? Most of those Celtics picks ended up being swings and misses.

That Hayward deal killed them ultimately I think. And Brooklyn's improbable competitiveness under Russell. But yeah assets mean nothing without taking some risk. At least Presti has a pretty great draft record so Id trust him more than others in that situation.

I've barely mentioned the guy in years... but yes...

I do think Zach Lavine is better than Jacob Evans or Ty Jerome.
