So they overturned the call, but didn't give him the made bucket? Odd considering the refs noted that he gathered. I don't understand why he didn't get the continuation.

He lost the ball after he gathered. So when he lost the ball it is technically his shot

He lost the ball after he gathered. So when he lost the ball it is technically his shot

But did he take an additional step after he bobbled the ball? If not, then it doesn't matter that he lost the ball. Guys get fouled going up for dunks all the time, lose the ball and recover it in the same motion, and then flip it up for a layup and get the and-one all the time.

I'd have to go back and look at it.
