If are able to dump Wiggins somewhere, any interest in Al Horford? I like the guy next to KAT, can actually provide good insights where KAT is extremely weak, and can still play. He'll probably want more than we can offer though and I'm not not willing to offer him the farm, just would be nice to add him

I guess talks with the celtics broke off. Horford now seeking a 4 year deal from another team. And according to Shams, Irving has informed the celtics that hes out.

Rough times for the celtics.

Lose irving.
Possibly lose Horford.
Kept a disgruntled Rozier when they should have unloaded him last year.
Tatum and Brown regressed.
They hoarded picks and youth to get a big fish, but missed the door on AD, Butler, and kawhi.

But they did max out hayward.

This one has been bubbling for awhile. It simply makes too much sense.

I dig that trade for Utah. Are they going to keep Favors? Losing Crowder hurts spacing... which has long plagued the Favors/Gobert pairing.

Crowder hasn't exactly been a high percentage guy from 3. Maybe they just play Royce O'Neal a lot more. It's a good trade for them getting Conley. Hopefully he stays healthy. One thing you can bet on with the Jazz is they will trade first round picks for a PG if their PG is a FA. Lol Memphis got some decent value there. They can probably flip guys like Korver and Crowder for at least multiple 2nd round picks to make the deal even better. They may also like having a couple guys that know how to play and therefore not suck. Utah has taken out one of the spots for starting PGs and also cut into their cap space too.

Obviously, Memphis is rebuilding. But it feels like they waited too long to do so.

Not getting anything for Tyreke Evans at the deadline in '18 remains puzzling. And getting only a 23rd pick (and a future 1st) for Gasol + Conley seems like a lost opportunity...

There is more to it than what you are suggesting although sure ai think they may have missed an opportunity. Let's see how much they sign Jonus V and maybe even Delon Wright. Jonus did average like 20/10 after arriving in Memphis. Depending on how you value Grayson Allen you could argue Memphis got 3-4 late first round picks (when you consider they could also move Korver and Crowder) for Conley. That's the sort of deal some people actually were considering a decent idea for Jimmy Butler a few months ago. It's not high end assets but...it's better than what they were reportedly being offered at the deadline. The Evans decision was weird I'd rip them more for that one than the others. Gasol and Conley were massive parts of their culture and why they had made all those runs. Hanging onto those guys seems more forgive-able even though they obviously were guys with a lot of value.

Saw that he is for sure leaving. Celtics wouldn't offer him an extension.
