Celtics looking pretty damn good in their first two games. They are the team to beat again this year. Glad they are in the Eastern Conference!

Damn Phoenix got a great deal with Tyus Jones. What a bargain.

Couple of stats to note tonight:

Andrew Wiggins with 10 rebounds in the first half

Tyrese Haliburton with 0 points in 26 minutes. 0-8 from the floor, 0-7 from 3

Norman Powell - Wolves killer - dropped 37 on Denver tonight. Denver now 0-2 and both were home games.

Great run by McDaniels with a little Ant sprinkled in. Good to see Jaden get on a roll offensively.

Edit: Oops, wrong thread!

Through 3 games he is averaging 6.2 assists per game and only .7 TOs, while hitting 42% of his threes. He is exactly what the Suns needed last season when they tried to succeed without a PG, and they also got Morris as a backup. Last night they handled the Mavs about as easily as we handled the Raptors despite missing Beal and Allen. It's early, but IMO 4 teams have the best chance of challenging for the top seed in the West: OkC, the Suns, Dallas and the Wolves.

The Milwaukee Bucks stink and a lot of it has to do with Giannis. Turnovers, ill advised outside shots, can't make free throws, and refuses to go down and dominate in the post. Their coach is a divot as well. I don't believe Dame can be a top 2 player on a championship team. He simply can't defend or even fit in a team defensive scheme. They are going to have to make some major changes as they are going nowhere with this cast.

Utah doing a good job hanging with Dallas, such that Luka and Kyrie have had to keep playing well into the second half. I was worried the thing would be over after 2.5 quarters and they would be well rested for the back-to-back against us.

Denver, who we see later in the week, had to claw and scratch their way to an OT victory over Toronto (Toronto really should have won that game - totally choked it away at the end of regulation). They now play @ Brooklyn before playing us, so hoping they are tired when they play us.

Memphis lost at home to Chicago. Anytime a Western Conference team loses a home game to an Eastern Conference team is very good news for us.

It's minor but we do own Utah's 2nd rounder in 2025. If they suck it could be a reasonably valuable pick. One of their young players broke his leg tonight which sucks.

Also I see Lonzo Ball played some minutes for Chicago and had 6 assists. Cheering for that guy to stay healthy enough to play.

Houston just beat Dallas in Dallas with some great perimeter D. I think we just need to wake up against those guys.
