Wendell Moore 7 pts on 2-10 shooting
Do we have to hear that name again? He won't make an NBA roster. He's going to have to hope he can play overseas.

OK, Wendell’s shooting was off. But he did the little things. 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Emphasis on the word “little.”

I watched the Rockets Lakers game and here are some thoughts.
Reed Shepard played well but I was less impressed than some. He got better as the game went on but he wasn't better than either of the 2 Lakers guards in the first quarter. There was one possessions he drove the ball went up in the air without a plan and it didn't go well and he did have 4 turnovers. The Rockets did a lot of switching so I'm not sure if he ever fought over a screen. Obviously he did lots of other good things on defense but that's a key thing he is gonna need to do. I'm not saying he can't do it but that wasn't shown in this game.
DK showed he can shoot and do some other good things. Yeah he got bottled up on some drives but he probably isn't gonna be Isoing much especially early on in his career.
Bronny started out well in the first quarter and offensively it went downhill from there. What stood out to me is that he is a 19 year old guy that's physically ready to play now. He also seems to be a guy willing and able to play defense. He got one on Shepard getting a steal after pressuring up and then instinctively dropping back. Let's remember this guy is a 1 and done guy that didn't play a ton in college about the same amount of total minutes as Josh Minott. I see them as similar type prospects guys that do some shit, play with energy and you hope they develop on offense. I could be biased but I thought Bronny did some good things out there in this game AND has aomg way to go. That rebound and long pass ahead was really nice.

Nice interview of TSJ. He stresses letting the game come to him and “staying within himself.” Those are words Josh Minott should live by. Josh was terrific yesterday except for the two or three times he tried attacking the rim off the dribble in the half-court.

Surprised to see that Jaime Jaquez Jr. is on Miami's summer league team after averaging 29 MPG last year for Miami and being a starter in their four playoff games. May be just a summer tune-up for a game or two and then he'll be shut down (?).

I'm shocked to hear this. Crazy to me that he is playing in these exhibitions.

I’m guessing he plays a game or two. I know he struggled with his shot at the end of the year so I’m guessing he wants to work on some stuff

I see that Bronny won the Call of Duty summer league tournament (this is an actual thing, no joke).
As for his basketball hobby, things not going so well....

Another curious summer league participant - David Roddy, now with the Phoenix Suns. He has played 2,500 NBA minutes over the last two seasons and even started a handful of games. Does Phoenix really need to see him in summer league to evaluate him further?
The only scenario where I could see a summer league stint add value for guys like Roddy or Jaime Jaquez Jr. is if their team is asking them to develop a skill-set that they don't have right now and to use summer league as a test lab to see how they are progressing.

Yeah that does seem puzzling. Then I started looking more at his career stats. 30% 3 point shooter negative Vorp and the grizzlies traded him for basically a pick swap...not a whole lot. Roddy played 66 minutes for the Suns including 3 mins in the playoffs. Its a new organization so I guess that makes some sense. It would be interesting to see if more teams have been like the Wolves and basically played a short rotation which in my experience is a bit uncommon for summer league teams.
