I was thinking yesterday that the most likely outcome was that Denver wins 3 in a row and comes back to win the series. No Ant and DDV is just too big a blow. Game 6 does look like a must win now though. Give Denver any more momentum and game 7 would heavily favor the Nuggies.
To be fair, it's literally not the most likely outcome.
There's a reason so few teams have done it. Obviously Denver is staring at one of the better opportunities historically, but I'm still taking Wolves in 6
The Wolves were slight favorites in the betting markets I think and I initially agreed. But as I thought about it, I was thinking Denver does come back and win the series. Just to me the most likely outcome was Denver winning it. Yeah we just need 1 out of 3 so we should do it, but without DDV and Ant, meh, I think Denver is going to pull it off.

I voted Wolves in 6 cause I don't think they'll win game 7 again in Denver it goes to that.
I one thing I'm confident of is that this will be a highly competitive series. Maybe a bad break ends it in 5 but I'm really certain this goes at least 6.
I think folks are too high on Denver and too low on Minnesota. They're much more closely match that credit is being given, especially with Denver missing guys as it and the consistent concern about Gordon.
Obviously we don't really know where Ant is at health wise but outside of him the team is really healthy. I just very much expect this to be a competitive series
Nice pick!

Has anyone ever had such a 180 flip on his public perception from his playing days.
It seems like he legit cares, also I think he loves competition so the playoffs brings it all out.

I absolutely hated ARod during his playing days...cheered against him on every team he played on. But there's no question that he is a different guy than he used to be, and I'm always willing to accept a 180 flip if someone has really done the work. I believe ARod has, and I'm happy to have him and Lore as owners.
There are other local redemption stories with a local angle. Kevin Love was hated by almost everyone in the Wolves organization when he was here. But after he was transparent about his mental issues, he went through a transformation...I think he's one of the most likable guys in the NBA now. Glen Perkins was hated by his high school teammates at Stillwater, and by his Gopher teammates...and he was still kind of a jerk in his early years with the Twins. But he also did a 180 early in his Twins career, and now he seems like a terrific guy.
Never give up on anyone...

I personally always really liked Kevin Love.
I didn't hate Arod but I wasn't exactly a big fan of his. He definitely seems like a different guy now for sure. I think there is a real benefit to having a guy like him around a sports organization. He knows how hard winning and being a pro athlete is and everything that comes with it. It also helps that he seems to be a pretty smart business man. I think having here will be good when KG is around I think having another former pro athlete will be good to balance out the possible intensity KG could bring.
Kobe Bryant was another guy that went from hated to beloved. I respected his game though. A good friend of mine I've known for many years is a Lakers fan and when someone would say stuff about Kobe he would be it's totally fine if you don't like him or what we but just watch his footwork and get back to me.

Heading into the Spurs matchup, as everyone marvels at Wemby and the vaunted Spurs defense, I just want to remind everyone of this little nugget.
Minnesota held Denver to a 105 ORTG --- garage time removed. A 16.5 point drop from their league leading 122.5
That would be biggest difference among the playoff teams between their regular season rating and post season one *well I'm 90% sure it is, and it's definitely the biggest among the West*
Excited for the 2nd round. If the Wolves have proven anything, it's that they're a tough out

Anthony Edwards was not at Game 6 against Denver because he was pushing so hard with treatments to get himself ready for the Spurs. As the weekend arrived, he started feeling like his knee was responding well enough to make it happen. And here we are.
