Daniels said IF...if the Thunder struggle in this series because Vic is dominating at both ends (like he was last night), they may decide to use their wealth of assets to go get the one guy who has been more successful against him at both ends than any other player: Giannis. They said that Vic's dominance last night made Giannis that much more valuable, and the Thunder had the most assets the Bucks might want. They didn't propose any deals, but try this one on for size: Holmgren, the better J-Will and multiple first round picks for Giannis. I don't know that the Bucks could get more than that for Giannis, and the Thunder would still have a very potent roster...as well as someone who could compete with Wemby.

If the Thunder end up winning this series, they obviously won't have any incentive to blow things up. But if they get dominated by Vic, I could easily see Giannis going to OkC.
Damn FNG, I was just going to post this. If they lose this series, getting Giannis is exactly what they need to do. No one can come close to providing the number of assets OKC can. I don't even think they would have to give up both Holmgren and JDub, Holmgren and as many number one picks as it takes. Even if they give up a shitload of picks, they will still have more than enough going forward. I think I heard they have 13 number ones, and 16 number two's over the next 6-7 years. It's really a no brainer, as long as they can navigate the cap.
Exactly...if the Spurs series doesn't go well for a very good Thunder team, I think the projected Giannis drama this summer will be fairly muted.

Jason Kidd fired, multiple reporters stating they want to move forward around Cooper Flagg. I already thought Kyrie would get moved this off season, but now I would bet quite a bit of money on it

That was the first thought that went through my mind -- Kryie could be more available than he was before Kidd's ouster.

Oh my what a collapse by the Cavs! I was on a phone call much of the 4th quarter and had the TV sound off, but I did see them up 22 with about 7 minutes to go. I saw the Knicks chipping away but didn't really take it seriously. Until I saw Shamet tie the game with a 3-pointer. I don't really have a horse in this race, but was kind of pulling for the underdog. It's going to be tough for the Cavs to bounce back from this disaster.

You always hear about bad beats in sports betting. Well tonight I had the Knicks -6.5. I think that makes up for a couple bad losses this year.

I bet $10 when the Knicks were +6000 to win midway through the 4th.

I for one am stoked.

Nice. I also hit 3 out of 4 on my baseball homerun round robin. It was a good night.

In other news, ScoopB on twitter is reporting ANT is privately pushing the Wolves to go after Kyrie. I guess he doesn't care for the "Lead Guard" role, either! :D

I'm not smart enough to determine whether Kidd is a good coach or not, but I think we can all agree that trading Luka and injuries to AD and Kyrie had far more to do with Dallas's woes than any coaching decisions he made...I'd be pretty pissed off if I were him.

I'm on board with attempts to acquire Kyrie though. I've always marveled at things he can do on the court but thought we was really weird off court, but he seems to have matured a lot when I hear him now. It would be really fun to have a healthy Kyrie next to Ant.
