Cam - It goes both ways because Russell is the team. If they didn't have him they would be looking at the NIT. We could easily make a case that if Towns went down the Kentucky team wouldn't miss a beat. I think Duke would be hurt losing Okafor, but still would be pretty good with Winslow and Jones.

I woudl consider Mudiay over Okafor and Towns. I just htink guards are so much more important in the game. Remember you saying how Love was the second best player on the Cavs. I was in the not even a chance he is better then Irving camp. How did that turn out?

Kyrie and Lebron hog the ball and Love is being used to the tune of 25% less than he did when he was an MVP candidate. If they used Love correctly and the results were the same I'd give it to you, but they are telling Love to chill out behind the 3 point line most of the time and don't let him initiate offense hardly at all (the talent around him is better but his APG's are almost half this year compared to last). A 7% usage rate drop is massive especially for a volume player like Love. That's a 25% difference from last year. Kyrie's usage is only down 2.8%. Love has had to sacrifice way more and they are using him incorrectly and away from what made him an MVP candidate. That's the only reason Kyrie looks like the better player right now.

Man oh man. If you take Towns off Kentucky right now, you take away their best rebounder, shot-blocker and as of late, their most consistent scorer. He's the centerpiece of that team like Okafor to Duke and Russell to Ohio State. He just has a plethora of five star recruits around him. I think it's worth mentioning that just because a player was 5-star, or 2-star for that matter, coming out of high school, it doesn't matter anymore. Take the Harrison twins for instance. Two of the most overrated players I've ever seen at the college level. UK is a powerhouse because of their bigs, mainly Towns.

I still think Love is the second-best player on the Cavs. I couldn't prove that to you with numbers, though. Not this year anyways. I remain firm in my stance that Blatt's clueless in coaching the NBA, more specifically in how to use his bigs as more than floor spacers. It could also just be The LeBron Effect. Look at how good power forwards had to completely alter their game to mesh with LBJ. Jamison in CLE, Bosh in MIA and the latest victim is Love in CLE. Just a thought, but if you put Aldridge in place of Love, he'd become a jumpshooter too. That's what happens.

Agree with Cam here. Russell is not the best player in this class, and he may be behind Mudiay. Definitely a top 4 talent, but I like the bigs a lot more.

So I finally played that NBA lottery mock draft on ESPN. First and only spin seemed too realistic. Kings come out of nowhere to win it, knicks pick 2nd, magic 3rd, 76ers 4th, and of course, Minnesota gets the 5th pick missing out on the top 4 players. The consolation here is that the Lakers got the 6th pick and lost it to the 76ers. They had us picking Porzingis... not a fan really. 76ers add Mudiay and Looney. They're going to be stacked in 2 years..

I'm really hoping you have good ju-ju Cool. Because as a Minnesota fan, I am just prone to accepting disappointment.

I placed third, giving us Russell. So much for divine intervention.

ok I replayed and won. We took Towns. Do we get a second chance in the real draft?

If history means anything, we may need 3 or 4 chances to get it right.
