The New Era is starting (Wolves vs Pelicans GDT)

Sometimes teams can't seem to hit a shot even with mediocre defense, sometimes the defense plays a major role in those misses. Although it wasn't perfect, for a stretch there the Wolves were playing spectacular defense. Driving people of the 3 pt. line, hands in the shooters faces, deflections, steals, blocks. Pelicans are a playoff team baring injuries and we really shut them down (especially AD) for a while. Even if that's for a quarter or something, in todays NBA, that brings a tear to my eye.

It was our second unit with RoCo that really shut them down. Those guys were fun to watch and they moved the ball on offense.

KAT has played excellent one on one D on AD. I think it's really PnR coverage that gets KAT but if he's matched up on a guy one on one he's solid.

My guess is that Thibs gradually gets Saric more and more minutes as time goes on and Taj either goes to the bench eventually or becomes more of a token starter. We'll see, but that's the path I think it might take since Saric may be our PF of the future.

I agree with this q. Saric should eventually start or play the bulk of the pf minutes. I also add that thibs is going to give dieng a fair shot at retaining his spot in the rotation. If dieng dont step up, then I can see taj being the backup center with saric starting and tolliver getting back into the rotation. A dieng-Taj bench big combo should not see minutes together at all.

Its a matter of time before jimmy has something to say about embiid and simmons. I can see a jimmy-embiid clash happening. Simmons is great but he has zero confidence in his jumper and that is going to hinder him. He takes 0 3pt shots in his 2 seasons except for end of quarter heaves.
