Maybe they are learning the vets can't do shit for them, so they need to take the game over themselves?

I don't get this statement.

WW is very down about the constant losing, and that the kids don't learn anything but how to exist in a losing culture. He could be right, but I hope that's not the case...

I think they're just treating this as another loss. This much losing isn't good for anyone short or long term.

If that's what the kids are learning, then Flip isn't trying to teach that given how he coaches. If they won tonight, that's something to look at and build upon. Bazz scores 30 and Wiggins scores 21 yet they blow a rare substantial 4th quarter lead. As important as Rubio is, it might not be a good thing to feel like they can only win games with him out there.

There is one thing above all else that bothers me about any team that loses games like this. They didn't really lose because they aren't talented enough. I feel they lost on the margins. Missed free throws. Simple errant passes. Not sealing passing lanes. Fundamental things.

At least nobody stepped out of bounds?

I'm sick of Thad already. WTF is his problem?? And Mo Williams is started to get up there too. I definitely agree those 2 were the biggest factors in the loss down the stretch.

Oh and lets see Adrien start next to Dieng. A nice physical presence is what Dieng needs next to him.

Young isn't this bad. Or wasn't this meh in previous years. Really. Think he's dogging it because he's played with shit teams his whole career, essentially, and thought it'd be different this year, but it isn't due to injuries. Pre-2014 Thad is a good basketball player. This version of him doesn't even look like the same guy. His mom dying didn't help either, but he should still be a professional ball player even with that. I get it, but sure, blame me.

I still believe in Stauskas, actually. The guy can't get minutes on that Kings team, but Ray "Big Shitty" McCallum can get PT somehow. Unfortunate situation for him, but I expect him to prove me right at some point. That's another "wait and see" situation. (Raise your hand if you were a Noah Vonleh or James Young fan. Let's re-hash that)

"My guys" in that draft were: Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Nik Stauskas, Jarnell Stokes and K.J. McDaniels.

Guys I was firm about staying away from: Joel Embiid, Noah Vonleh, James Young, Cleanthony Early.

I also said Bennett was dog shit while everyone here hyped him up, but I'm never right. :thumb:

PS: I have to think there's a 99% chance Flip drafts a big man in this upcoming draft. There's so many good ones, and we need one. Plus, I'm starting to legitimately believe in the future of Wiggins (SG) and Muhammad (SF) at the wings as starters moving forward. Bazz is starting to show why he was one of the top recruits coming out of HS. You can try to stop the guy, but he will fill it up. I think if there's one huge silver lining to this season, it's that Shabazz is a rising star in this league. He's a force on the block, he's a menace on the offensive glass, he gets to the FT line at a good rate, he's a terrific cutter and his catch-and-shoot ability is his latest breakthrough. And the biggest reason of all: HE'S HUNGRY. When's the last time you saw Bazz play without effort or killer mentality. I'm definitely sipping the "Bazz is more than a 6th man" Kool-Aid.

Wiggins also came on strong. Nice second half for him after he struggled in the first half. Just when the Utah broadcast was starting to criticize him, he knocked down a three and a nice mid-range J. Tough assignment with Hayward too, but he did a good job. I was pleased with his overall game.
