The winning DOES NOT start tonight - Wolves at Jazz GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Alec Burks is out for the season. Utah lost to the Clippers in LA last night. Daniels ought to see his first "regular" minutes tonight.

I still don't have good feeling!

Flip senses it, too:

Talk about youth, 9/10 starters are 24 or under. UTA w/ 3 @ 22, 1 @ 23 & 1 @ 24yrs old. MIN w/ 2 @ 19, 1 @ 22, 1 @ 24 & "old man" Thad @ 26.

After shootaround today Flip pulled aside the younger players & challenged them going up against the young core of UTA (1/2)

Flip "These are guys we're going to have to compete against [for years to come] & [we've] got take the challenge from the beginning." (2/2)

Listen Flip - learn about tanking. There are two guys who can be difference makers for us next year, Okafor and Towns. Your job is to produce one of the worst two teams in the NBA, 2014. A win tonight will be a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT

Well this is encouraging because I didn't think Ricky looked that good running laterally at Golden State... (although it doesn't help tonight!)

Flip reports Ricky's improving by the day, running noticeably better today than at Golden State. Pek also has advanced to some shooting work

Tanking never works, especially for the Wolves. They could have the worst record, but they would still get the 3rd pick in a two player draft...

I would argue that theyve never tried to tank. It's the winning that has never worked for them.

OUCH! DAMN, TRUTH HURTS. Although I agree with Tim, in a two man draft, we would be third to pick. That's just us.

Mark Madsen is wondering how you missed him tanking for the Wolves?!?

Wiggins learned early in the season to throw his head back whenever he thinks he feels contact, trying to get a foul call. Because it looks so manufactured, he gets less calls then he ought to get. He needs to ditch it!
