No.

I don't see the point in stockpiling every really good 6th man available when they're all making sizable bank
I like Monk but he isn't cheap. How much different is he than Donte who is a few million cheaper? What is the salary going back to the Kings? The report I saw was they are willing to deal Carter for a first also. My friend that's a Kings fan had Carter on his list of guys he didn't want traded. He was ready to let almost everyone else go for the right price Keon Ellis and Murray was the other 2 guys he wanted to keep.

I went though a number of possible trade scenarios but I couldn’t find anything that worked financially and that I’d like. So I’m thinking now that the keys to the Wolves rounding out and incrementally improving the roster will be the draft to acquire one or two young centers and free agency to acquire a PG.

There’s a pretty long list of good free agent point guards who might sign here for the vet minimum. If we let Randle and NAW walk then we could use the taxpayer MLE. I don’t think we can get our payroll low enough to use the non-taxpayer MLE. Here are some unrestricted free agent PGs who might be gettable with the non-taxpayer MLE or maybe the vet minimum:

1. Tre Jones
2. Tyus Jones
3. Gary Payton III
4. Monte Morris (not sure he’d come back here. He was pretty unhappy when he left)
5. Tre Mann
6. Fultz
I'm not sure about Morris not being happy when he left. He was probably offered not much money to be the third PG here. Meanwhile he took the vet min to potentially be the starter for the Suns and then ended up being the backup after they signed Tyus.

I'm not sure how players are gonna view the opportunity here they may still see it as not a great spot for an opportunity. If NAW leaves the Wolves need a PG or combo guard added to the roster in case of injury and add depth. There are a lot of guards available this off-season as FA. They might have to go with someone that's gonna have to settle for the vet min to be guy that mostly sits on the bench. How about bringing back McLaughlin?

Horton-Tucker is an interesting guy that would be really versatile. Of course another player they could consider if Hyland. Can the Wolves maybe find a youngish guy that hasn't quite figured it out yet and turn them into a reasonably valuable contributor similar to What happened with NAW?
Yes, Hyland is another potential option as a third PG. I’d add him to the list with the guys I listed. And I wouldn’t mind brining back McLaughlin. Here’s my updated list:

Tre Jones
2. Tyus Jones
3. Gary Payton III
4. Monte Morris
5. Tre Mann
6. Fultz
7. Bones Hyland
8. McLaughlin

I would think that at least a few of these guys would sign here on a vet minimum deal or at least at the taxpayer MLE level.

Bones Hyland is terrible and he's not a good option. I hope he's just warming a spot for one of our draft picks. He needs to go. There will be better minimum salary free agents available than Hyland.

Tre Jones and Lonzo Ball are the two guys I want. Chicago has a surplus of point guards and if they have any interest in either Randle (Vooch and Ball) or NAW (Ball), we should look to make a trade. Otherwise, just grab one of the Jones boys, I prefer the younger one but if we can't get him or Ball, I'd take Tyus as a stopgap point.

BREAKING: The Boston Celtics have traded Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers for Anfernee Simons and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Can take off Holiday and Simons off any wishlists.

Sure he is, but that will require a Godfather offer and several more FRPs than we have to offer.

What about a deal of Randle and Divencenzo for Sabonis and Monk?
