Live from London - Vikings vs Browns

Post by bleedspeed »

This is another game we should win. It will be interesting to see if Rieff/Sirles/Easton plays.

I was thinking the Browns would be much improved this year, but they are just horrible at QB. They team looked like it would be better at every position, but things have gone bad and now Joe Thomas got hurt. It is looking ugly for them. The bright spot is Myles Garrett looks like the real deal. I am not sure I want Hill playing against him so getting Rieff back is important, but then again he seems nixed up and maybe this is a game we could get by without him.

The Browns are actually improved in that they don't get blown out anymore. The past few years the game was over pretty much at the opening kickoff. This year they at least make teams play 50 minutes of football to take the W.

Yes, measuring progress in the form of moral victories.....we know how to do that in Minnesota.

Myles Garrett in the concussion protocol. Might not travel. He was my biggest fear going into this game.

Should be an easy win. Playing against a Rookie QB who has been struggling. Case just needs to manage the game and we should be able to hold the Browns to less then 14 points.

Case INT combined with some bad defense and Vikes trail at half. Maybe they thought they could just show up and win. No bueno.

Well the Vikings did what they were supposed to do and the Browns made it interesting for a while. Griffin got his sack the Vikings weathered about oline injury and got out with what ended up being a fairly easy win. All that's left to ask is whether Teddy will be starting soon and how big of a lead they will have over other teams in the division at the end of the day. It's pretty amazing that they are at this point with Bradford basically playing 1 good game.

Why on earth would the vikings start Teddy when he hasn't shown to be any better than Keenum? The team is on a winning streak, keenum has been making solid decisions, and making more downfield passes than Teddy was capable of, and I believe there is something in Teddy's contract that if they don't play him this year, he has another year to go on his deal. Not sure exactly what the details are, but I sure wouldn't want to throw a new deal to Teddy next season.

Teddy looked composed right off as a rookie, but struggled with his arm strength and accuracy downfield. There is no reason to believe he will get substantially better than he was, and his mobility may be worse. Let's make decisions based on what's best for the Vikings, rather than Teddy being a nice guy.

I think we stay with Keenum unless something major happens.
