Welcome to Minnesota, Rudy.
LOL.
Here's a guy who was in Utah for a decade complaining about MN being a bad market for NBA officiating.
[Note: Get ready for Friday boys. I'm 100% certain Finch was preparing the NBA for that game with his comments...]

Odds he gets suspended for these comments. Or can they not suspend him because that would prove his point. Rudy does whine a lot but I do feel bad for him. I believe in the Warriors and Kings game, the refs went to the monitor 5 times to review flagrents and 0 of them were to review when Rudy got hit in the game (Durant got him again tonight)
Nba is at a big tipping point with its players and the refs. Every team is really pissed at the officiating. So much anger going on. It does not help that the Lakers are #1 in the NBA in foul differential and have a almost 225 foul lead on the #2 team in the nba in foul differential while being 20th in the NBA in drives. (I'm using pretty flawed context logic).
I didn't think the officiating was that bad tonight but for the wolves the anger has been really boiling over since the Celtics game. (I legit think that game was rigged)

Re: Rudy and Finch go off on officials
9 days ago... I made a thread mentioning the Los Angeles Lakers' ridiculous (and historic) free throw disparity as the Lakers started to turn their season around and got back into the playoff chase.
- Lakers opponents shot more free throws than the Lakers only ONE time in 22 games. That's crazy.
- The Lakers were shooting on average (+10) more FTA every game over that stretch.
- The 2nd best team for the season is at (+2.4).
But wait... it gets better... the disparity has been even more extreme since that thread...
- Over the past 3 games, the Lakers have taken 104 free throws... opponents have taken only 52.
- That makes it ONE time in 25 games that an opponent took more free throws than the Lakers.
It's not just that the Lakers get fouled more than everybody else by a significant margin... they're also fouling everybody else less by a significant margin.

That Celtics game may be the worst officiated game I have ever seen.
Re: Rudy and Finch go off on officials
Apparently Rudy has been fined once in his career for criticizing officials. That next game he was called for a foul on the opening tip of the game and was ejected later in the game.
Could be in interesting one on Friday

I know some of this is skewed logic but the Lakers are also 20th in the league in drives and they have that disparity.
Re: Rudy and Finch go off on officials
I agree with Dane Moore...if FVV didn't get suspended for his comments, Rudy won't get suspended either. If he is, it will be yet another example of favoritism by the refs toward Canada. Why do they all hate America?
Re: Rudy and Finch go off on officials
It's one thing I can't stand about the NBA.
I reckon in the refs annual briefing they get a list of players that they are asked to doctor foul calls for. And it's quite obvious who those players are. We witnessed one last night called Devin Booker. Other names would include Tre Young, Joel Embiid, Shai Gigeous Alexandra, Giannis, plus many more. Unfortunately Anthony Edwards is yet to make that list and it's obvious KAT never will. I mean even rookie Paolo Banchero is averaging 7 attempts a game this season versus KAT's 3. KAT has never averaged more that 6 in his career.
The foul and FT discrepancy last night was blatantly obvious and I am happy Chris Finch and Rudy spoke out about it. I mean Devin Booker took 3 more FTA than our whole team! The worst was when Rudy got called for an offensive foul for 'elbowing' Booker under the hoop during a dunk attempt. Booker didn't even do a good job of selling it and they still called it against Rudy. One of many terrible calls last night.
This comment I read on Twitter sums it up really: "When you win every variable - 3's, field goals, points off TOs, rebounds, assists... but the other team shoots 15 more free throws and wins, how can you blame anything but terrible reffing?"
And I better not say too much about the female officials we seem to get every game lately!

Re: Rudy and Finch go off on officials
Those Laker stats are staggering but not surprising. And the thing that makes it worse is Lebron campaigns for calls all game long. I wish they would just ban arguing, or even talking with officials. Let the coaches communicate with the refs during timeouts or inbetween quarters, but not during play. I mean it's really gotten to the point where the product is a joke.
