Did Royce White have Draymond Green potential?

Just thinking about players that have a similar game and I remember when White was coming in the league he seemed like he was supposed to be the guy to do what Green is doing.

Skillset? Maybe a bit offensively (but I don't know about White's range).

But the NBA is about guys who "get it" and guys who don't. I can't think of many chasms greater than the one between those two players...

That's an interesting comp. maybe offensively yeah but Green seems to have elite defensive abilities I don't think White was considered to have defense as a strength. I liked White's skillset but I thought him translating to this level was more of a boom or bust aside from his other issues. At this point we will never know what his real talent level was is because of everything else.
