Road Trip

How do you see the 2 game road trip going? Talk about your expectations.

I think we are going to get them both. We are due against Memphis and Dallas is going to be a bit disjointed acclimating to Kyrie. I also think Conley will be a good presence on the road, and Ant will have at least one huge game.

KOM says 0-2. Memphis has been struggling, but seems to be righting the ship. We definitely have some chemistry stuff that needs to develop. I don't know if Luka will be back for Dallas or not.

I chose 1-1. 0-2 is not a disaster, but they have to win the home game against the Wiz heading into the all-star break!

Great question. My head says we would have gone 0-2 both pre-trade and post-trade, but my heart tells me we get a feel good win in Memphis.

Ufff! I originally was going with 0-2. Tough road games. I also don't really know all the details (who's playing/who's not). I ended up voting 1-1 which is more based on hope. I feel if we are able to steal one of those two games, it's a good sign. 0-2 would have people starting to look for torches and pitchforks post trade.

I'm not saying they're going to be wrong in this poll, but I suspect the two 0-2 voters are the same two who didn't like the trade. When you don't like a big trade, it's difficult to feel positive about your team as they embark on a tough 2-game series. And I note that Memphis is a 6 1/2 point favorite, and the Dallas game might have a similar line. My thoughts are the same as they were before the Mountain series, where we were also big underdogs in both games...I'll be delighted with 1-1.

What's ultimately more important to me is that once the Conley/JMac duo is established as our PGs (and it could be tonight if the physical is completed), we see three things:

1) Better team and perimeter defense
2) Better usage of Rudy on the offensive end...just like last year
3) Better ball movement resulting in more open looks, similar to the Utah game.

Let's go!

2-0 baby!

Memphis is always a tough fought game and I like our chances against them every time. Dallas will likely be without Luka, and the Wolves are the more talented team overall in that case.

If we can get the first one, I think our odds go up dramatically in the 2nd. Let's beat Memphis and see what happens.

I nailed this. What is my prize and how do I collect?

In all seriousness, as per my original post - I feel good about 1-1 considering road games, tough opponents, switching of PGs etc. Now beat Washington, then get KAT back after the break and finish strong baby!

The 6 winners get to rip on one of my posts without reply from me. I'll designate the post.

1-1 is good, but have to win these next two home games
