Here's hoping we see Moore, Minot and Garza play lots of minutes in garbage time... (in the Wolves favor, of course!)
Sounds like Jmac is getting closer, participating in the "stay in shape" post shootaround scrimmage for reserves and players coming back from injury. According to Chris Hine.
I doubt the Wolves make a trade at the deadline. But if they should, here are my two predictions (and, yes, you can say "Ewwww!" to either one!):
Jaylen Nowell and next year's 2nd rounder (from NYK) to Denver for Bones Hyland. Denver gets a "redo" with the 2nd round pick.
Dlo and Naz for Lowry, Dedmond and a first round pick. As a popular FA destination, Miami gets the chance to re-sign Dlo and/or Naz. The Wolves keep their "salary slot" for next year with Lowry, and Dedmond provides veteran bigman backup behind KAT and Gobert.
Go Wolves!

Denver isn't going to give Bones Hyland away, and certainly not for impending free agent Jaylen Nowell. Hyland is already better and still on his affordable rookie contract for the next two seasons. They'll either keep him or get much more than Nowell and a second-round pick.
Your second deal is something I would have much harsher reactions to than "ew" if it ever materialized. Trading 26-year old D'Angelo Russell and 23-year old Naz Reid for 36-year old Kyle Lowry and 33-year old Dewayne Dedmon would be egregiously bad even with an incoming non-lottery first-round pick. I'm not sure why Dedmon is even coveted here. He lost his rotation spot to an undrafted rookie in Orlando Robinson and likely wouldn't be the next big up in Minnesota either as both Luka Garza and Nathan Knight are currently better than him. The Timberwolves knowingly get much worse from that deal just several months after making an all-in type move. I would be outraged. Luckily, I don't think Tim Connelly would consider doing this.
I do agree with you that I don't see Minnesota making a trade at the deadline. I think there's real interest in Bones Hyland, especially given the familiarity, and I think they would like to find an appropriate deal for Naz Reid, but I think they're also aware that the team is playing at a high level right now. They could do much more harm than good, in my opinion. Keep this roster intact, wait for the injured players to return, and fire up those extension talks with impending free agents.

The thing about Hyland -- he is out of the rotation and would welcome a trade looking for a larger role. I will be surprised if he is not moved. And, yes, Jaylen and a 2nd rounder is a pretty weak offer...
You are the first one I have heard call Dedmon coveted. He serves two purposes: salary filler and bigman bench fodder to replace Naz. Our views on Dlo differ quite a bit. I think Lowry is a better fit, even if it is for just two years. At this point, we don't know if Dlo would be here beyond this year. Acquiring a first round is not an insignificant component of this deal.

BTW -- I fully support doing nothing at the trade deadline. The roster as currently constructed, and with the return of KAT and Jmac should be pretty darn good.
Re: Garbage Time - Magic at Wolves GDT
In other action, we have three West teams with 26 losses in action tonight, besides the Wolves. Maybe the "Luck Buffer" will expand a bit tonight!

Fair. Coveted may not be the right word, but Dewayne Dedmon has often been involved in these hypothetical trade scenarios with Miami and I don't understand why. Dedmon is old, he isn't any good, and they could feasibly do that same exact trade without him under current CBA rules so why the inclusion? I guess that is more of what I'm getting at.
Also, what makes 36-year old Kyle Lowry a better fit? Can we please stop saying this without expounding upon it? Have we all watched him in 2022-23 or are we just remembering who he used to be in Toronto? He's a worse scorer, shooter, facilitator, he turns the ball over at a comparable rate, and he's a marginally better defender at this stage of his career. Russell's overall impact -- accounting for both ends of the floor -- exceeds Lowry's almost anywhere you look. One player is ascending in his career, the other is crashing. Let's trade for the player that's cooked. I don't get it, but to each his own.
Lastly, while a non-lottery first-round pick isn't insignificant, it's not enough to justify getting much worse for the rest of this season, especially after the organization went all-in, which is what they would be doing with that trade, I feel. Again, I don't get it. They need to stay the course with all eyes on getting better.

Dang it! Sucky Dlo. SloMo aggravates his back.

I will say that Dlo is playing in a much faster gear. And it is helpful.
