Soft Battle Redux - Kings at Wolves GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

As Q mentioned, winning back-to-back games against the same team is tough. But how beautiful would a win be?!? Tied for the 4th seed with the Clips, and just a game behind the Kings for the 3rd seed. It all seemed so impossible when we lost at Houston a week ago...

But tonight will be tough. The Kings shot poorly, DLo went nuts in the 1st half, and ANT exploded in the 2nd half. We can't count on all those things tonight, so I expect a real battle. A loss would be disappointing, but not like the loss last week to Houston.

Go Wolves!

I'm not expecting a win for many of the reasons Doug mentioned above. It's difficult to beat good teams in consecutive games. Far from impossible, but quite difficult.

In my eyes, they're playing with house money tonight, so to speak. They needed to at least split these two games with Sacramento and they already won one this past weekend. That's not how the players should feel, but that's my perspective as a fan/follower.

I'm looking for another professional effort and solid execution from Minnesota's key players. If that's what we get tonight I hope to see minimal knee-jerk reactions no matter the result. Winnable, but a tough game here for sure.

I maintain the Kings' poor shooting was a product of the best perimeter defense I have seen out of our guys all season...very few open threes. Russell was good and even Nowell put some pressure on the perimeter (although he did get lose track of his man on the backdoor a couple times). And Jaden and Rivers are generally quite effective contesting 3-pointers. If we get Prince back tonight, that could only help our defense.

Yeah it's tough to beat a team twice in three nights...especially a team that is as healthy and good as the Kings. And we're still missing at least two key players. That's probably why Vegas has the Kings a 1-point favorite. I'll be there tonight cheering them on. Go Wolves...4th place is there for the taking!

I won't be disappointed if the Wolves don't win tonight either. Of course if the Wolves pull off a win that will be pretty nice!

Just keep winning. Ant needs to plant himself firmly as an all star tonight by going off even more. I expect 40+ from him. Lets go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taurean Prince was NOT listed on the latest injury report. I'm assuming he's back and available. Good news.

Well, this is quite the different start tonight.... But you have to like the defensive effort so far!
