I remember learning a bit about him a couple weeks ago and was somewhat intrigued.

Perfect 2-way guy reading his scouting report reminded me of Vando. Has the tools but he might be a complete project
Re: Josh Minott
Can never have enough of these rangy 'tweener guys that can switch onto 3 or 4 positions defensively. We'll see how he develops. Big issue of course is his outside shot.
Re: Josh Minott
He has one of the worst looking shots I've ever seen in a non-center coming out of college. So yes, at this point, he's another Vando, but not as good as Vando in the ball-handling and passing departments.
Re: Josh Minott
He's definitely an athletic prospect that's going to take a while to develop. Hopefully he's ready to contribute by the time Vando is an RFA/UFA and may cost too much to keep.

Baby Giannis! Guy seems to have some swagger. Really crashes the offensive rebounds and finishes well at the rim. " He almost always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to make an impact offensively" He may put it together and become a solid piece, and he may never put it together and only play a handful of games ever in his NBA career. At least in his highlight videos he has some Lavine Swagger, and kind of looks like Jaden at times.
Re: Josh Minott
FWIW to me he looks a bit more twitchy than Vanderbilt.

Re: Josh Minott
I posted on him in the draft grades thread. Jonathan Tjarks really liked him and was touting his per minute stats.
I've watched some of the highlights and breakdowns of this guy, and yeah, I think most of the takes on this board sound about right.
At first glance, his length and defensive hands remind me of Jaden, which is nice. He seems to have nice lateral quickness, so I can see him also being able to guard 1-4 on the ball, and maybe even some undersized 5s. Could be a guy we can throw onto an opposing shot-creator like we do with McDaniels.
Looking into him, I think he definitely has more Vando than McDaniels to his game right now as guys here seem to be suggesting--particularly the high motor. He looks like he may even be more disruptive with shot blocking, deflections, and steals than Vando, and he definitely looks like he can accelerate in transition more quickly than Vando too and get up for dunks with more fluidity. Also looks like a pretty good rebounder. Unfortunately, like Vando, he also looks like he can't shoot at all.
His handles look good enough to get from the perimeter to the rim when needed, and he can go the length of the floor in a straight line on a fast break if there's no defense, but other than that, I don't think this guy should ever dribble the ball or pass it. When he rebounds, we should always have a teammate on the floor who gets open for a pass from Minott and calls for the ball from him right away and can bring it up and get into the offense so that Minott never has to try to pass off the dribble.
The upside with him could be a guy like an athletic Thybulle with highlight dunks. He'll energize the crowd with his play, for sure. He's got the tools to be super disruptive defensively, I think potentially even more than Vando and McDaniels. Offensively though, yeesh. He can be a transition finisher, and maybe a pick 'n' roll lob threat in the half court, but I don't see much more hope for him offensively. Still, that defense looks like it could be great. Not everybody can play both ways well.
He kind of reminds me of Corey Brewer actually, and I loved Brewer. I saw an interview with him and he seemed like a nice kid. Cool glasses.
He's young. So maybe a shooting coach can help make him respectable in that regard. If so, that would be awesome because then we'd be looking at a similar sort of potential as Jaden--just maybe with more athleticism and more aggressive D and less ball handing and shot creation on offense.
