I heard this great story once, I don't even remember who I heard it from. But here it is.

Some guy was in a bar or someplace and walked into the bathroom. And there, taking a leak at a urinal, was Jay Cutler, who was still the quarterback for the Bears at the time. The dude who walked into the bar had also gone to Vanderbilt, and had actually taken a class with Jay Cutler as a classmate. And as regular people do when they see somebody famous that they have any kind of tenuous connection with, this guy said something. And what he said was, "Hey, Jay Cutler, we were in Intro to Bio together, remember?!"

And Jay Cutler, still taking a leak, tilted his head back as if to look up to the heavens and in a long, drawn out probably half-drunken drawl, said exactly two words: "Dooooooooon't caaaaaare."

That's my response to Bill fucking Simmons.

Totally on brand for Cutler, LOL! He seemingly had that same attitude while playing for the Bears! One of the worst sideline demeanors I've ever seen. He just didn't really give a crap, at least outwardly.

I lived in Chicago for about 10 years (this is before Cutler's time there) and one thing about a lot of the prominent athletes and sports personalities there is they weren't afraid to go out to neighborhood haunts to imbibe and banter with regular folk. Not sure about Cutler though!

All those Smoking Jay Cutler pics were wonderful memes before they were called memes. Without those so much joy would have been stolen from the hearts of many.

A good friend of mine is a Bears fan. It didn't like Cutler but he always said people complain about him but he was probably one of the top QBs ever to play the franchise. He wasn't wrong. That says more about the QB play for the bears than it does about Cutler.

Also Bill Simmons can funny/entertaining and he knows some cool stuff about sports but in general I don't take him seriously when it comes to current analysis of the game.

Simmons did his top 64 trade value list (80 players if you include honorable mentions.)

Jaden Mcdaniels (HM)
Kat (#26)
Gobert (#25)
Ant (#9, russillo had him #6)

Wolves only team with 3 players in the top 26. Good thing Simmons thinks it's the worst trade ever because they had to trade 0 top 80 trade assets in his mind

A person can think gobert is the #25 trade prospect and also think we got screwed on the trade. Those two views aren't mutually exclusive. This is where I am. Hope he does well, hope we win the title, hope all of those picks are in the late 20's... key word is "hope"

It's pretty hilarious in a way that he has Gobert 1 spot above Towns.
