Bryn Forbes follows Tim Connelly from Denver to Minnesota. Good stuff. I thought he was a savvy pickup for the Nuggets last year when they acquired him for cheap. He can really shoot it from the perimeter. Defense? Ehh, not so much.

When I looked at the reminding FAs after the Gobert trade his name was one I was interested in. This team needed some shooting and he can do a bit of it off the dribble.

Bryn Forbes 3P%, by season:

- 2018-19: 42.6%
- 2019-20: 38.8%
- 2020-21: 45.2%
- 2021-22: 41.4%

- Career: 41.3% (706/1711)

Bryn Forbes is a knockdown shooter, replicating some of what Malik Beasley brought to MN at a fraction of the price.

No Monster, he can't do anything off the dribble. He will be catching and shooting, taking advantage of the floor space created by KAT and Rudy. And he is very good at it.

This is a perk with bringing in Gobert and making it look like the Wolves are a legit -- fringe players might want go along for the ride!

I know you have seen him a lot more than me. I know he isn't a guy you want handling the ball much at all but he can dribble his his way out of a paper bag though right?

Of course the biggest negative about Forbes is his defense. How bad is it?

I get why they signed him...we definitely needed to backfill some shooting. But he is so limited in other ways, it's just tough for me to get too excited. Good deal for the cost though.
