CoolBreeze's 2 Things I Didn't Like Tonight Plus 1
Really enjoyed watching the first 43 minutes tonight. In the end it was too much Lebron and not enough depth on the Wolves. But a fun game nonetheless and gives us a glimmer of hope. Here is tonight's special edition of the 2 + 1:
1) If Kmart had shown up tonight we would have had a real chance. As I said in the game thread, he's just soft. He's not tough physically or mentally. We really could have used his A game tonight. Funny how our teenager was able to rise to the occasion.
2) It was a little hard to watch Love play for the other side in our building. The spectacular play of #22 made it a little easier.
Plus 1 - Are you kidding me? It's not that he scored 33 points. It's not that he played good defense for the most part on Lebron who has about 80 pounds on him. It's how the big stage suited him so incredibly well. When that building becomes electric on a nightly basis, can you imagine how much fun it's going to be see him finish games down the stretch. Getting so few FT's was a joke, yet he still was outstanding. Again, if anybody was worried about whether Andrew has any fire in his gut, stop. He is a gamer and I feel the basketball Gods have given us a superstar that is going to be great on and off the floor.

We need rebounding from all positions (Wiggins included). But it was a fun game. Martin gave a classic annoying Martin performance. Wiggins is going to be a star, no doubt about it. Just how bright now is the question.

I will add 1 to the negativity of the game, can some one please box out, I mean please. I think Thad had a very good game offensively but come on Martin and Brown double your rebound out put, that is the difference in the game.

Mozgov/Love/LeBron is a pretty big and strong front line. We countered with Pek/Youg/Wiggins. Flip basically waved the white flag in the rebounding battle with the hopes that somehow Young would win the matchup against Love, especially since Blatt won't post Love up as much as Adelman was willing to when against smaller guys. Well, he may have outscored him, but he was badly outrebounded.
Meh, I say that, but I don't know if it really made a difference. We were crushed in the 4th quarter and I don't think it really mattered who we trotted out there. Cleveland is on a roll and they have by far the superior talent. We should be proud that Wiggins had a huge game and we stuck with them for a while. Very entertaining game.

We had the lead after 3Qs, guys. Don't over-analyze this one. We just ran out of gas. We didn't have Rubio or Muhammad. The best player in the world took over and went cold-blooded with his jumper to boot.
Enjoy the positives, and there were a lot of them. One step closer to a great young nucleus.

We have to nail our high draft pick. Get Rubio back. Maybe get some young talent/picks for Martin, Young, and maybe Pek. We have some very good young talent. We just need to add a few more pieces and some age and experience to the mix.
Wiggins is going to be so good. I think the Scottie Pippen comp is a great one. A great two way player who is so athletic. Give me that everyday over a pure overhyped scorer only in Melo. Build around Wiggins. Do everything you can to put the best team around him. He is a great cornerstone piece to build a team around.

It was a fun game to be at. I would have liked to see Dieng and Pek play a little more together.
I can't believe Brown played 47 minutes 50 seconds without a point. That has to be some type of record.

Great effort last night by our boys, except for AB who doesn't seem to want the starting PF job.

One thing I noticed was that Young really did horrible job of setting screens. Either that or Brown did a horrible job using him. Time after time I saw him come out to screen and barely set his feet and have any effect and then roll.
