Trades flying fast and furious....
Just read that Nets - OKC - Hornets talking deal centered around Lopez to OKC, Stephenson to Nets, Lamb/Perkins to Hornets. This deal makes sense for all involved. OKC needs center to compete - Stephenson was obviously not a good fit with Hornets - Nets need to shed salary.
This trade is not completed yet, but what I find interesting, and makes me a bit optimistic, is that the Nets are potentially able to move Lopez. He may opt out next season, but not so sure given his injury history. Teams should be EXTREMELY scared of a long-term deal given his track record. Does this help us in any pursuit of trading Pek? Or does his longer deal kill any chances of moving him?
Can you imagine the flexibility of the Wolves if they could trade Pek and then have Chase and Thad opt out? We absolutely NEED Pek to come back immediately to get some value back. Skill wise, he certainly would have a lot of value around the league....it's a matter of finding a team willing to take a Lopez type chance.

So the Hornets just want to dump Stephenson basically?
Not high on Lamb. Perkins... well...

I saw that last night and I thought it was interesting b/c the idea of trading Pek to the Thunder and getting Perkins back was mentioned on the board fairly recently. I still think Pek can be traded without having to pay someone to take him, but it's a question of whether Flip actually wants to trade him or not and what they want for him.

Sounds like Brooklyn and OKC are looking at just a 2 team deal now.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Oklahoma City, Brooklyn progressing on a Brook Lopez package that includes Jeremy Lamb and Kendrick Perkins, league sources tell Yahoo.

That is to bad Pek is hurt. I thought Pek was a perfect fit for them next to Ibaka. Lopez seems to be to soft.

Just read something saying if that trade goes through that we'd flip Thad for Perkins..... Is Perkins expiring or am I missing the reason we'd do this at all?

Perkins is expiring and there is zero reason we would do a straight swap of those two. Just another big market thinking we'd give them a guy for scraps just cause.
I would trade Thad and Bud for KG's expiring and a pick though to get both those deals off our books. Then bring back Adrien to play the 4. Let KG retire in a Wolves uniform and we clear 14 million off our books for the offseason. Let Radjulica go and call up Heslip or sign another PG.

I don't get it Khans, why wouldn't we want to get rid of Thad for an expiring? Sounds like a great deal to me.
Re: Trades flying fast and furious....
We'd have to be getting something back other than Perkins, I would like to see maybe Lamb or Perry Jones (although I don't really care for either) but it would probably end up just being a 2nd rounder or two.
What I would rather see is Thad for Stauskas even though he has been absolutely terrible, at least we can hope he gets better and have some years to try and develop him.

Just talk about trading Love. Best is for Bledoe and Alex Len. I really don't see why the Suns would do it.
