Shabazz Expelled From NBA Rookie Transition Program

I don't want to make too big a deal about this because he brought a girl into his hotel room (who cares?), but on the flip side I can see it being a bit ridiculous he couldn't follow simple rules for a handful of days.

Also on the Flip side, maybe it will be a wake up call for him. Flip should blast the hell out of him!
Good thing we are expecting absolutely nothing from him this year. Dieng is the one we need to do something...

What an idiot. Seriously how hard it is to follow...
but I learned a few years ago never to judge based on stupid decisions. Percy Harvin smoked knowing he had a drug test, and he came out to be a hell of a player

the lack of simple thinking is the part I shake my head at. The infraction itself, not a big deal.
Other than this definitely getting brought up every time he has a bad game on a Lip post game review, this will be forgotten rather quickly.

Such an easy rule to follow and he couldn't even do it :( .

So true.
On another thought, can we at least see the girl he took back to his room? If she's hot, I'll let it slide. If she's ugly, I'm really upset with Shabazz. Lol

Oh c'mon Cam, that's really insensitive. It's not the ugly girl's fault her perceived beauty is based largely on an inverse relationship with light and visibility...

One would think that a guy that is supposedly going out of his way to prove the doubters wrong, could actually get through a couple of days without breaking the rules.

I sense a general board consensus on this: nobody too bothered about what he did, but surprised and disappointed that he couldn't follow a simple rule. I'm a little surprised at myself that I'm sensing a rather large red flag, because I'm generally a live and let live kind of guy. It's probably because Shabazz is already stuck with the "character issues" label. If this were Oladipo, for instance, I think I might be laughing it off. But Shabazz already comes with baggage. I'm going to wait and see how he responds. If he's repentant immediately and says all the right things with the right tone, that might ease my anxiety a little.

you shouldn't have anxiety anyway regarding this. The resounding penalty of this is that he has to do this training session again in a year, not some confirmation that this is why most Wolves fans didn't want him. His troubles, if we can even call them that, weren't due to lack of judgment. The only reason he has perceived "character issues" is because the fans that don't like him will never let him not have character issues.
At the end of the day, let him put that work in come this season and see what happens, because that's all that matters. We don't need Shabazz to be a choir boy. We need him to be a good basketball player.
