If you could add two existing NBA players to the roster....

Post by Q12543 [enjin:6621299] »

Who would they be? Before answering, two assumptions:

1. Pretend salary cap/considerations is not an issue

2. Players must have averaged less than 15 PPG last season

OG Anunoby and Brandon Clarke.

Respectable enough as shooters that massively improve our defense immediately. They also fit our core timeline.

DLO/Beasley/OG/CLarke/KAT would be a great mix of O and D.

Too bad we could have and should have just drafted them.

Option 2:

Tyler Herro and RoCo

DLo/Herro/?/RoCo/KAT

6th man Beasley

Elite volume 3s all over the place, with a second ball handler in Herro for the starters.

Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson

:d

I suppose you want guys who played last season. Then I might go with-

Marcus Smart and Covington.

Good ones. I'd combine these and say OG Anunoby and Marcus Smart. Those two would completely change the tone of our defense, even if Smart was not a starter. And both are good enough from 3 that they can't be ignored out there.

Both of these guys can probably be inserted in any other 3-man lineup and it wouldn't matter what positions the other three played. Marcus Smart plays a lot bigger than his listed height.

It is funny you both listed RoCo. He left such a big hole in our roster when we traded him.

- Jerami Grant
- OG Anunoby

Give me ultimate versatility and length at the forward spots that can defend multiple positions, rebound their position, and bury three-point shots. They're also 26 and 23 years old, respectively.

Definitely forgot about Smart. He would add some much needed tenacity to this team.

No why? And if I hear Jerami Grant one more time I'm gonna lose my mind.

1. Mitchell Robinson

2. Ricky Rubio

They give our two best players the freedom to do more on offense and not burden themselves as much on defense.

You can focus all your energy, picks and assets towards pursuing young wings to round out the roster
