JOIN A SIDE. YOU MUST CHOOSE.

Post by AbeVigodaLive »

I've been waiting for it. Patiently. But Rubio sucking balls early in the year kinda ruined the timing. And I can't wait anymore because it's at least possible he'll be traded. So we have to do this NOW. We're about to burn this place to the ground!!!

Choose one. You must choose one. Enjoy.

D'Angelo Russell.
4 wins. 15 losses.
19.3 ppg / 2.5 reb / 5.1 apg / 2.7 TO
42.6% fg / 40.1% 3fg / 75.0% ft / .544 TS
(- 10.6) +/- as a starter

Ricky Rubio
6 wins. 20 losses.
10.6 pg / 2.8 reb / 7.3 apg / 2.0 TO
43.6% fg / 36.6% 3fg / 82.4% ft / .576 TS
(- 4.2) +/- as a starter

Does it matter how many games they played with Karl-Anthony Towns or no? Seems like an important detail, especially when we start discussing wins and losses...

Russell: 4 games (90 minutes)

Rubio: 23 games (589 minutes)

This has been Rosas' plan all along. Don't unleash the KAT DLO duo until just the right time.

Come on Abe Dlo has 5 wins. Can you at least get in the ballpark of your stats like WolvesFan21 :)

D-Lo only has four as a starter because of the season opener where Ryan Saunders brought him off the bench for a delayed COVID test and being late to shootaround. While D-Lo ended up playing better and more minutes than Rubio, that win is notched under the Spaniard's belt.

Russell and it is not close.

One player is young, can shoot, and multiple team's have given up plenty to get; the other is proven to be what he is and always cast off.

I am not a fan of D'lo on this team heading forward though.

DLO has been I think even worse then his career avg.'s so I would bet on him turning it around and he's younger so I vote DLO.

If the question is which of the two I would choose as my starting and primary PG assuming both are on the roster, I'd choose DLO. He's the better player of the two in my view, especially with Ricky having lost a step defensively.

If the question is which one would I seek to trade, my answer is both. I'd shop both and trade the one who brings the best net return. But I can understand Rosas not shopping DLO until he's had the chance to see him playing with KAT for an extended period, especially now under what appears to be competent head coach. And that's the reality. Rosas isn't going to trade DLO.

If the question is which of the two was the worst acquisition, I'd say DLO because of what we gave up to get him and his max deal.

If the question is which of these two do I see as the starting PG long term contending Wolves team, I'd say neither. But at least DLO has the chance to be the guy long term based on his age and talent. I just don't see him putting it all together on a sustainable basis, especially as a good fit on a Wolves team whose other main guy is also a sub-par defender.
