Towns deals?

Post by Crazysauce »

Not sure if heard but on Dane Moore podcast Britt Robson proposed a deal to Cleveland for Collin Sexton, Jarrett Allen, Andre Drummonds expiring and Cavs unprotected likely top 5 pick in 2021. What do you guys think?

I really like Sexton. Kind of interesting deal. Sure more will pop up soon.

Not the worst package, I guess, but there will certainly be much better ones available if Towns was to be traded.

Allen needs to be paid soon. I am not taking that.

Multiple young guys on rookie contracts, multiple picks and swaps, and a dead contract.

Ant, DLO and Sexton would be an atrocious team. They all are trigger happy non-defenders. I don't think the Wolves will find any trade packages for KAT that improves the team. Might as well wait til his last year and try to get a trifecta of first rounders and I'd consider auctioning off the rest of the roster if we can get any decent return.

Jesus Christ, we are such a sad franchise.

I think I would need the first overall pick plus whoever (salary match) and that team may not want to deal that pick.

As much as it pains me to potentially deal our star big man to the Celtics once again, if they include Tatum or Brown I'm jumping on that immediately

When you come to the realization that KAT isn't a superstar, there are a lot of deals out there that could make sense.

If you thought he was a top 10 player then no he's not. I've thought he was about 15-20 range. This season considering his Mom passing away, his injuries and illness I can accept he's not improved at all.

Good number 2 or 3 on a championship squad potentially. You really need multiple top 25 players to compete. I guess if you have 1 he better be top 5 (Kawhi, LeBron, Giannis), then fill the roster out significantly with quality.

I love watching KAT go to work on offense, but you just do not win that way anymore.

You're better off putting all your chips in the 1-3 slots, a bit at the 4, and skimping at the 5 and just looking for defense and rotations/matchups.
