Minnesota Timberwolves Trade pick 17, James Johnson, Spellman and Evans for Blake Griffin and #7 pick.
Then Minnesota Trades #1/#7/Culver and S&T Beasley for Bradley Beal
Signs Jordan McLaughlin to a Naz Ried type deal.
Signs Juan Hernangomez to a 1 yr deal/7mil deal
Uses MLE on Justin Holiday (Wont be the whole MLE)
Dlo/McLaughlin
Beal/Holiday/Nowell
Okogie/Layman
Griffin/Hernangomez/Vanderbilt
Kat/Ried
3 open roster spots, one can be used at pick #32 maybe a min deal of Facu and another min deal.
I know this is a crazy prediction and some 2k type shit but I honestly think the Wolves are going to be going for it this offseason. They can't trade a 1st until 2024, they might have extra value in Beasley because there is till mystery to him and his value could go way down if he proves he is nothing more then a shooter. It could be the last year Culver has value.
I see the Wolves take a big risk on a player like Aldridge, Griffin, Westbrook, Paul or possibly Klove this offseason.
Bold offseason prediction!

Most expensivist team ever. No way Glen pays that much luxury tax. I like it, but cant see it happening.

Lets say we sign Holiday for 5mil a year. The Wolves would be approx. 10 million over the tax line.
Obviously an expensive team, but all the moves I did fit within the salary restrictions. It would be up to Glen to spend money to make it happen. What is probably unlikely because the Wolves are a repeater tax team from last year.
Also this could be Glenn last year as owner can see him saying fuck it I'm all in and have the next owner deal with the future ramifications of the salaries

In general the reason why I made this post is I think the wolves are going to gamble on a high profile over priced contact this offseason.

I actually think the opposite. Their books are starting to look pretty clean now with Andrew Wiggins' money being off the cap and James Johnson's player-option being the last year on his deal. We have two max contracts surrounded by rookie deals and a couple restricted free agents. I think they'll shoot for the moon with trade offers for appropriately-paid star players, but otherwise won't overpay for veterans that are over the hill.
If they wanted to go after Buddy Hield or comparable, then I'd be down for that. I just don't see them looking at a Blake Griffin or Chris Paul type of veteran. The financial responsibility would be pretty great and it could cause a rippling effect on the hierarchy of this team that they've been working to establish.

I would love to see a 3 way trade that sends KAT to Houston, Harden to Philly and Simmons to MN and we draft Wiseman.

I agree, Cam. I think their first choice will be Simmons or Beal. While I don't consider Simmons a realistic option, I see Beal as a somewhat realistic option because I think the Wizards front office has to know they've reached a point where they have to rebuild and the top pick in the draft along with last year's #6 pick (Culver) would be a nice jump start to their rebuilding process. They'd probably also want our #17 pick and perhaps another asset or two. I think a deal for Buddy Hield is very realistic. I agree the Wolves won't pursue a max contract veteran on the downside of his career. Rosas has made it crystal clear that he's seeking to build around KAT with players of similar vintage who can develop in tandem with him.
Re: Bold offseason prediction!
FWIW There is no way the Pistons do that Griffin deal but if they would I would do it. Move up in the draft and get a win now VERY good player? Sure. Griffin only has 2 years left on his deal and if somehow he stays healthy for even say 75% of the season he would be worth a large chunk of that contract. Again I don't think the Pistons do that deal I think they could get at least one real
asset out of dealing Griffin. This deal would also open up 2 roster spots which is handy.
If the Wolves somehow pulled off getting Griffin and Beal I'd bet Glen would be plenty interested in paying lux tax. That's a pretty intriguing roster of everyone can stay healthy. Heck Beal Russell and Towns is pretty interesting.

Re: Bold offseason prediction!
Why would the Pistons move back 10 spots when they're as talent deficient as any team in the league?
I read on Wasserman's mock draft where he suggested a deal where they trade back to #14 for Boston's 3 first rounders. Now that's trading back too, but at least that's three first rounders they can add to Doumbouya, Kennard and Wood. All they'd be doing in a trade like the one the threadstarter posted is using a high lotto pick to shed salary and lose 60 games next season.
