Who else wants to get high with KAT?
I think Mook got a hold of Towns

Heh. I think he actually has a pretty nuanced take here. There are some properties of marijuana that can be extracted and not even include the THC (the part that makes you "high") and have shown potential in treating certain ailments. I think he's including all the various applications of the plant in his opining here, some of which aren't even that controversial.

I think he did great. I am a botanist and a chemist, so this conversation is right in my wheelhouse. The situation around drugs is unique in the USA. I found it laughable that it took Stern until now to soften on pot, but as one Minnesotan once wrote, "the times they are a-changing"

Understood. I have mixed opinions on legalizing stuff for casual use, but I absolutely believe if something has gone through appropriate clinical trials and works, then medicinal applications makes sense.
But alas, this is a sports board and one of the things I like about it is we generally keep it that way!

I sounds like getting high with KAT would probably mean playing basketball since he doesn't do anything else to get high. :) in all seriousness Towns thoughts here seem worthwhile.
I have a good friend that a couple years moved to Southern California and ended up getting a prescription for his arthritis. He wasn't thrilled about it but eventually he decided it was worth a shot. He said it didn't help him and what has seemed to help is the weather compared to the Midwest. He was able to play softball regularly for the first time in probably 10 years and he is in his late 30's.
In general i'm probably kinda like Q in my stance but ultimately I think they should just legalize it. It seems the use is so widespread we are just fooling ourselves into thinking keeping it illegal is probably stopping many people. I think there would be some real benefits to having it legal maybe they wouldn't outweigh the bad part of it but like i said I think that ship has sailed.
Also I miss Monk in the high post.
