I might be thinking too far outside the box, but I was reading another thread and there was some talk about how Wiggins/KAT are not Thibs type players. Then the Butler comments made me wonder.
Would have Wiggins/KAT/LaVine/Rubio had more success under Hoiberg? Did they need a hardnosed coach?

Hoiberg's system (in theory) would benefit Lavine and maybe Towns. Lavine seemed to be just fine with hard coaching I almost worry Hoiberg will be too easy on him and I am a fan of Hoiberg in general. I think the "Thibs type of players" is looking for an answer but maybe a conclusion jump. People thought Bazz wasn't gonna be Thibs type of player and Thib CLEARLY wanted the guy back. Let's give this thing some more time we are still 92 games into this thing.

I am still a Hoiberg fan. I think he landed in a bad spot so I am curious how others feel about him. Fit is very important.

Remember a significant reason he went there was his relationship with the organization and Gar Forman. That's also a lot of the reason it's been a bad fit. Lol I'll say this though that after chasing making a vet team they did make some of the right moves in choosing to rebuild and therefore they stuck with their coach in Hoiberg. If a couple things players work out they could be on track to be at least a good/watchable team again.

Butler hated Hoiberg. Espn did a feature on butler yesterday and he pretty much said guys didn't work as hard as him and it was allowed. And the Bulls chose Hoiberg over him.
Reading between the lines he pretty much said he used to hate thibs but when he was gone he missed him a ton.

I am pulling for Hoiberg and Bulls. I think they made the right call to go young. They seemed to have gotten a player in Lauri Markkanen. Throw in LaVine and you have a start to the rebuild.

I think it's a huge conclusion jump, we're half a game out of being on top of the Western conference and we're too busy being envious of Boston. I don't see how having a laid back pushover coach is going to help Towns and Wiggins try harder and play better on defense, gimme a break, seriously. A half game out of FIRST PLACE and we're questioning if Thibs is getting through to his players, he just can't win no matter what he does in some poster's eyes.

Why can't you question fit? I don't think it is fair to call Hoiberg a pushover coach . Hoiberg seemed to get a ton out of his younger players in college and now we get to see if he will do the same in Chicago.

Jimmy distances himself from
Hoiberg here a bit. It's getting a little bit of push in the media.
