Wolves fined for resting Russell
Wolves fined for resting Russell
That is hilarious! How many other teams have done this. I mean Kawhi doesn't play back to backs

This is the dumbest league fine I've seen and yet somehow we managed to load manage in a way that gets you fined while everyone else has figured out. Who's really the incompetent one in this scenario?
Re: Wolves fined for resting Russell
It's dumb. Should we care about resting players? Yes IMO. Does $25,000 make much difference? No. $25,000 isn't nothing but yeah it's not much and it probably goes to charity anyways. I wonder if there is a spot to find the fines for every team in the league.
Edit: I found a more dumb fine and it relates to resting Leonard.

IDK....it's kinda dumb they don't fine more teams for this, but it's also totally deserved.

Typical NBA. One rule for some, but not others.

You could buy a lot of table tennis balls for $25,000. My cat would loose all of them in about 32 minutes. Wait...ping pong balls and KAT?!? Rosas is a genius!!!

Re: Wolves fined for resting Russell
It's amusing.
And still really sad that the Wolves rested him in the first place.
"As a new player in our program, we chose to rest D'Angelo in order to learn his body better and to optimize his health during a difficult stretch of games and travel."
Russell had played in one game in the previous 9 days... he'll have played 4 games in 17 days at the end of this "grueling" stretch.
Fuck off Timberwolves. That's an embarrassing statement.
[Note: Like most... I dig Johnny Athletic (Jon Kadfdafla vadsf asmsky) but I couldn't even get through his article on the topic at The Athletic. There is a 99.9998% chance he was asked by Wolves brass to act as their shill on this one. Not his best work.]

Re: Wolves fined for resting Russell
Wolves deserve the fine simply for not making up a better excuse for not playing him.
If a team chooses to not play any player, that's their business though (general statement)
