Source: The Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a deal with CJ Elleby, @hoopshype has learned. Elleby will compete for a roster spot in training camp. He was selected 46th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.

The one positive about Elleby is he is a good rebounder. I remember liking what I saw out of Elleby in Summer league but the results/stats were not good overall. So to me he is one of those guys that has a decent theoretical skill set but it hasn't translated past college. I'm sure he will end up being sent to play with the Iowa Wolves.
Phillip Wheeler also signed an exhibit 10 deal so he will be there as well. I'm not sure if any of the other summer league guys signed an exhibit 10 deal or not. They have another spot if they didn't. I was thinking maybe Whitney did but I couldn't find anything then I gave up. Lol

If he could learn to shoot the ball his hustle would make him a decent rotational player until then not interested.
