Wolves Summer League

Post by Lipoli390 »

I'll be in Vegas for the first few days of this year's NBA Summer League. So far, the Wolves Summer League Roster will include the following three guys:

1. Phillip Wheeler
2. Theo John
3. David McCormack

Check out this video of Wheeler. Pretty impressive:

I'm hoping the roster includes McKinley Wright, Bolmaro and our three top draft picks from this year's draft.

I read somewhere that Leandro Bolmaro is set to be there in Las Vegas. This is a pretty important year for him if he's going to show that he has any future in the NBA, in my opinion.

Also, I'm glad the Christian Wood trade got finalized before Summer League or else Minnesota wouldn't have been able to announce that they acquired the rights to Wendell Moore Jr., and consequently wouldn't have had him available for Summer League. That was a worry I had, but the Wolves have since announced all of their draft deals and it appears the rookies will be ready to go. All aboard the Kessler Express.

I'm assuming this will be the wolves starting lineup

Wright
Bolmaro
Moore
Minott
Kessler

That is a theoretical nightmare defensive lineup

I would be a little surprised if Wright isn't on roster. Played well in the G league, local kid, HS teammates with Theo John.

Spagnolo will be there! And didn't we already line up Kevon Harris?

Are you sure Spagnolo will be there. Can't imagine Real Madrid would let him play on their dime

I love the enthusiasm, but I would not expect Matteo Spagnolo to be at Summer League. Contractually, I don't think he can make that commitment considering he's not opting out of his deal overseas just yet.

I just posted Horton's interviews in a new thread. Finch said Spagnolo will be there.

I'm excited to be going to summer league this year ... who doesn't want to be in Vegas in July! (turns out "my wife" is the answer to that question, lol)

Outstanding that a couple of you guys on the board are going to Summer League. I'll be vacationing on the north shore of Lake Superior during the Vegas summer league, but expect regular reports from Sun and Lip!

Huh. Well, I wonder how that works. I'll listen for myself a bit later, but did Chris Finch happen to say if he'd actually be participating in Summer League or just that he'd be there? He could just be meeting staff and doing introductory type stuff. That would be really fun if he's actually playing. Spagnolo has an aesthetically-pleasing game.
