New Orleans, Memphis, Phoenix, and LA all pick ahead of the Wolves.
At this point, Rosas is probably gonna draft a long term project because trying to make win-now moves is gonna be pointless.

If Rosas is smart he will do what you're predicting. At #11 in this draft with no cap room there are definitely no win-now moves for the Wolves. If, however, Rosas turns out to be a bad PBO like all of his predecessors, he won't be very smart and he'll flop trying to make a splash out of the gate. Obviously, this franchise will NEVER be lucky.

Nobody is expecting this team to compete for anything next year, and all I want to see is us is to find and develop young talent for a change and hope Wiggs makes some improvement, so his contract is less of an albatross.
Win-now moves are pointless.

I don't think he will see this as an a or b situation(neither do i).
Outside of Teague, the team is still really young. I think the plan has always been to develop from within and putting guys in better positions to suceed.
I still don't think we are bad as some think. Yeah, we dropped after Jimmy was traded. We lost a good player and his replacement (cov to injuries).
Dropping from 10 to 11 doesnt change that.
This will be the first year that we truly build around kat.
We need to get the most out of wiggs, everything hinges on him this year, not this draft.

After so many terrible picks by the Wolves when picking 2 thru 6, I'm not putting my hopes on tanking. Giannis, Gobert, Jokic, Draymond Green, Khris Middleton and Kawhi were all picked outside the lottery, so we need to hope Rosas can unearth talent. Gambling on the skinny raw kid with the huge wingspan has worked out as well as any strategy.

My only concern is that Sekou Doumbouya comes from a country that tends to produce these raw bigs who don't develop quickly enough and even at their best, they're soft. France doesn't have a great track record with bigs outside of Gobert and he was a late first.

Yep a is not lost. As for the skinney raw kid...Rosas knows how that plays out pretty well. After all he was an assistant coach for Ndubi Ebi in HS. :)

Absolutely Peak Timberwolves, the team behind us and both teams in front of us all move into the top four
This is the pinnacle boys

If we didn't blow that game against the Nuggets at the end of the year, up 13 with 215 left we would of been the #4 pick. Just saying (I am joking, I know it doesn't work like that)

Win Now... Re-re-build for later. Meh.
The Wolves should be drafting the player(s) that help its franchise player thrive. Whether that's a defensive-minded 4 like Clarke to do the dirty work. Or a three point specialist like Herro to improve spacing. Or whomever.
A down-to-the-studs rebuild simply drafts BPA. The Wolves have their proverbial stud already. Build around that guy. This team shouldn't be looking at rebuilding like a Phoenix or Chicago team. They're "too good" for that. The foundation is here. Solidify it.
