Re: Summer league thread
keep em coming Rosas.
I want a Summer League team where I'm disappointed in the team for having more good players than roster spots up for grabs

Re: Summer league thread
Gonna say it again: The Wolves developed almost nothing in summer league or the g-league these past 2 seasons. It wasn't a priority. Those teams stunk.
This summer's SL roster?
Okogie
Battle
Reid
Jordan Murphy
Barry Brown
Nowell
Culver (after trade final)
KBD
Terrell
Reynolds
Creek
Should be a dominat team

When was the last time the Wolves had a first round pick play more than like 3 summer league games? Tyus Jones? Everyone else got hurt before or after a couple games. It's pretty tough in SL to be competitive if none of your first round picks play when other teams sometimes have multiple guys 1st and 2nd round players etc. I'm not sure if Culver will be able to play since the trade may not have gone through by then so...
I think that first year of the G-league the Wolves did ok especially since it as their first year as a G-league franchise. They didn't utilize the talent in the NBA but they ended up with Amile Jefferson who was one of the top bigs in the G-league as a rookie (was bad in summer league though) and that PG from Maryland was pretty good. They started out really bad and then improved to finish around .500. The talent evaluation I think was actually not bad. Last year the G-league team was bad no matter how you slice it I won't argue that.
Again this was a Thibs situation where he made some decisions that made it look like he did value youth but then didn't really do anything with it unless it was a "top" guy. I feel pretty confident in Rosas who was the Rockets G-league for years to actually put a very high priority on this whole process and it will likely matter. Cam Reynolds...I'm building him up too much in my mind but he really did look kinda legit last year.
Re: Summer league thread
Barry Brown Jr is kinda interesting. BIG 12 DPOY. Below is a link to a scouting report that really talks up his defense.
https://basketballsocietyonline.com/barry-brown-jr-scouting-report
FWIW Someone from Jordon Murphy's camp told Wolfson he had some exhibit 10 offers on the table from other teams (Maximum that can be guaranteed is $50,000) but he felt like long term the Wolves were the best chance he has of making it. Measured 6'6" in shoes and 7'1" wingspan at Portsmouth...so yeah. I'm pulling for him but it does seem like a longshot.
Pablo Prigioni is coaching the team.
