GDT: Kings vs. Wolves

Post by Camden [enjin:6601484] »

The much-maligned D'Angelo Russell makes his return tonight. I'm expecting him to play limited minutes. I'm also expecting him to be a bit rusty given the long time away. And still it'll be nice to see him and Karl-Anthony Towns on the court together for stretches. Finally.

I'll be there in person, so that's terrific news...wasn't looking forward to watching this club with 4 guards on the bench. It's going to be weird being in an arena with only 3000 fans, but it's better than nothing. Looking forward to seeing how our two max guys interact. I'm also looking forward to seeing Richaun Holmes and Haliburton for the first time.

Rubio, Beasley, and Nowell are all doubtful. So it will either be DLO or Jmac on the floor at the 1.

We probably won't get it, but I'd love to see Russell, Edwards, McDaniels, Towns, and Reid in the starting lineup. Give me the big and long frontcourt that can shoot from the perimeter.

Yeah, but DLO started the day doubtful too, so maybe one of the other comes back too. Hope so. Of course I'd love to see a starting lineup of Kat/Jaden/Ant/Dlo/Rubio, but probably not tonight. JMac was tough last game...glad he doesn't have to go 42 minutes tonight.

With D'Angelo Russell returning tonight, a major boost will come from playing DLo when Karl-Anthony Towns rests.

Since Chris Finch became the Timberwolves head coach 20 games ago...

263 minutes with KAT off the floor
O rating: 94.5
D rating: 116.6
Net rating: -22.1

Welp. Now Malik Beasley's out 4-6 weeks with a grade 3 hamstring injury.

Grade 3: a complete muscle tear or tear of an attachment - may take weeks or months to heal.

That's just great.

Is DLO just playing spot minutes or not at all?
