Here's my list of 6 PGs to target as possible trade acquisitions for the Wolves:
1. D'Angelo Russell. He's a big-time scorer and very good ballhandling PG who could run the Wolves offense and pose a legitimate threat from behind the arc. His age also fits with the plan to build around KAT. But there are downsides to Russell for the Wolves. First, he's a poor defender and would be joining a team that is already bad defensively with KAT on the court. With Russell we'd have a core tandem who are allstars on the offensive side of the ball but lower-tier in the League on the defensive side. Second, he's on the front end of a max deal, giving us 3 max players who give us very little defensively. Finally, it would likely cost a lot of assets to get him.
2. Aaron Holiday. Apparently, the Wolves front office has shown interest in Holiday, but the Pacers have thus far said no. He's be an excellent fit as a quick PG with an excellent handle and an accurate 3-point shot. He's young and, therefore, would fit well as a key building block around KAT. He's only been a backup at Indiana, so I have to believe the Pacers would part with him without demanding too much in return. But hard to know and I haven't thought about a particularly package of assets that might get a deal done.
3. DJounte Murray. This guy would be my first choice. He seems to be getting back to the level he was at before his knee injury two seasons ago. He's not a great 3-point shooter, but still hits a third of his threes. The question is whether the Spurs would be willing to part with him in a deal for Covington.
4. Derrick White. The other young Spurs PG would be a nice acquisition for the Wolves. I don't know what it would take to get him. I'm guessing we'd probably have to give up Covington, in which case I'd expect something else in return as well - maybe a future pick.
5. DeVonte Graham. I'm not sure what it would take to get him. I'd still like the Wolves to offer Wiggins to the Hornets and see what we could get. Graham is an excellent 3-point shooter and a young PG who would fit well with the Wolves. The Hornets have Rozier so Graham isn't essential. Perhaps we could get Graham in a Wiggins for Batum swap.
6. Dennis Smith Jr. I wouldn't give up much for him, but he's a tremendous talent who continues to struggle with the Knicks. He's the sort of guy worth taking a flyer on. Look how the Fultz deal has paid off thus far for Orlando.
There might be others who haven't come to mind. I limited my list to PGs 25 years of age or younger.

I saw on ESPN the Wolves are pushing hard for Russell. I'm the same way as you, I'm torn on him. As great and flashy as he can be offensively he does give it up defensively.
I think GSW would be a perfect place for Wiggins too I think. He would join (next season) a stacked team that shoots lights out. He can drive and distribute fairly well to find the other guys. He is also good from the corner left 3P. Wiggins is not a guy who can take a bad team anywhere, but I think he could be a solid 3rd or 4th option on a contender.
I actually think both guys have their flaws and possibly a good win win for both.
If we traded RoCo and Dieng for DLO we are saddled to 3 max guys like you stated who are all at best avg defensively. Then what cap room do you have to get other pieces? Are we stuck surrounding those 3 by paying/playing G Leaguers for the next 4 years?
It's just tough when I feel both DLO and Wiggins are overpaid. I guess this is why Rosas is getting paid the big bucks to try and make the right decisions.

Options for the future:
1 Develop Culver/Wiggins
2. Draft and develop a point guard (lots of depth there)
3. Monte Morris (he's the starter with Jamal Murray injured so I don't think Denver would trade him until the offseason, he's a free agent in 2021)
4. Aaron Holiday
5. Jalen Brunson (Doncic is such a high usage player that Brunson, Dorrell Wright, Barea and Curry get very little usage, Brunson looks good and Wright had a nice run when he was used more in Memphis)
6. Derrick White
7. Terence Davis (he's a good shooting guard with nice percentages buried in Toronto, supposedly he could play point, but if not, he's still a solid rotation piece)
8. Brandon Goodwin (a G League superstar, he's stuck behind Trae Young as a back up in Atlanta, but they have Teague now :)
9. Ky Bowman (Warriors, when DLO was injured he started and I liked what I saw of him, good defense, good range and plays controlled)
10. Satoransky/Arcidiacono/Dunn (SAD,haha, if Coby White and Lavine are the future backcourt in Chicago, these guys are probably available)
11 Jordan Mcrae (more of a shooting guard, but can play point and he fills the stat sheet)
12. Stop gap players: Dragic, George Hill

Re: Point Guard Trade Targets
Since the plan seems to be tanking my guess is a pg in the draft
Re: Point Guard Trade Targets
I am still unclear why we would trade for a guy that didn't want to come here in the off season.

And he said he didn't want to play in the cold weather of Minnesota. At least, Wiggins is a good ambassador.

Nobody wants to come here so we shouldn't trade for anyone? That's where Rosas and Ryan need to step in and build a culture that just needs to get guys in the building to make it work long-term.

Exactly. Curry didn't want to be a wolf so we passed on him. We know how that turned out

Re: Point Guard Trade Targets
Aaron Holiday is definitely an intriguing one. He's a willing shooter and defender that is very accurate from outside and won't take shots away from KAT and Wiggins.
As I've said all along, if we get Russell, it has to be for Wiggins. Our defense would be Bottom 5 if KAT-Wig-Russell shared the floor....and it's already bad enough with just KAT and Wiggins out there at the same time.

Exactly, Q. That would be my one absolute condition on any deal for Russell. It has to be in exchange for Wiggins. Even then, I'm not sure. Aaron Holiday would be my second choice after DeJounte Murray. But I don't think I'd give up Covington for Holiday without getting a future pick in return as well.
