Teague off the bench vs hawks

Post by crazy-canuck [enjin:18955461] »

Looks like we are force feeding culver minutes at pg for a while.

Teague will now come off the bench.

Gutsy move by saunders.

Agreed. I guess the organization is telling Teague he's not part of the long term plans. I'm sure Teague will treat the situation like a total pro. Although he's performed below many of his career averages, I've found Teague to be a total pro since he's been here.

Gutsy move, but the correct one. I like Jeff Teague, but this team is better with him in that role.

This is more about trying to unlock culver than it is about winning.

Compared to other lotto picks and other rookies this year, culver has not looked good.

The writing is on the wall. Minnesota's feel-good competitive start to the season is over and the team is diving into a development phase. The move makes sense if we're focused on feeding Jarrett Culver opportunities and catering completely to Andrew Wiggins' needs, but I don't think the move makes the on-court product better.

Jeff Teague gets an A-plus teammate grade, though. He reportedly was very open and receptive to the role change. Say what you want about the guy, but he's steadily been a positive in the locker room.

Also... enjoy the bench, Shabazz Napier. His minutes are essentially gone now.

Hot shooting and bad defense early on in this one.

Parker is going to drop a career high on us.

Nice audition for Jabari Parker tonight. So far, Minnesota has no answer for him.

I'm not foreseeing a loss tonight, but this would be an unforgivable one should Minnesota drop it.
