This confirms what we already know - Lakers will draft Lonzo at two.

Good trade for the Lakers, get the best player and a late 1st rounder, plus unload Mozgov's bad contract.

Nets must see potential in Russell. But giving away their 1st round pick isn't wise for a rebuilding team, especially when they've already traded away their picks this year and next.

Russell is worth way more than a 20 something pick. The Nets make out like bandits getting a young guy with great potential when they had virtually no chance of adding that kind of asset going into this offseason.

I like the trade for the Nets. Honestly I think they should have been able to do it without giving up that first round pick but Mosgov isn't worthless and his contract stays the same its too much but he could still end up being a worthwhile player.

Edit:

The Lakers now have #27 and #28. Are they still looking to move up?

Lakers won this trade. Got rid of bad contract (Mozgov), got rid of selfish immature player (Russell), got the best player (Lopez) and got a first rounder (Lakers find talent late in draft recently with Zubac, Nance and Clarkson).

I agree. The more ai think about it the more it looks like a terrific move for the Lakers. They get a modern NBA true center in Lopez dump salary and get a draft pick for Russell? Nice. Sure Lopez could end up leaving in FA and maybe they can't sign anyone but they could look towards even competing now if they are able to get PG.

The Nets...I was always worried about what they were going to get for Lopez. They got a young player who is still 21 who has done some good things and ai still believe can be a good player.

The Celtics are excited because the Nets are probably going to be even worse without Lopez. The Lakers could end up being better which makes the 2-5 protection on the Lakers pick in 2018 look kinda smart.

The NBA gets dull for only so much time before something happens.

Now what do they give up for Paul George? Julius Randle and picks?

Total rip off job by the Nets! I love the Lakers are being forced to possibly surrender more assets by having to trade for George this year. But what a great trade for the Nets. Exactly the moves they should doing, taking on bad salaries to acquire young talent.
