Lakers trying to obtain another lottery pick
....not sure if this is just a bad rumor, as it seems like they are similar to us in having almost too many young guys. But if it is indeed true, what would you want from LA for #7?
My starting point would be Nance, Jr. and #28. (ducks). Hear me out....Nance, Jr. is arguably one of their best all-around players. He is basically the Jordan Bell of the NBA. He is an athletic, mobile PF that rebounds, blocks shots, and actually has a better assist rate than Wiggins (although that's not saying much). Their defense was much better with him on the court versus off. He is exactly the kind of player we need.

They probably want another lottery pick to trade for Paul George...

The Lakers certainly have some interesting pieces I would want. Nance, as mentioned seems a solid prospect and could play immediate minutes on this team. Zubac also seems like a high caliber prospect as well. Tarik Black is also a big body of interest.

I still think Ricky and our pick for Russel and Randle. Don't know how we could squeeze both in reality. Otherwise Randle and 28 for 7.

Yuck. The Lakers were one of the few teams worse than the Wolves on defense and these two guys were a major part of the problem. The last thing we need are more offense-first/no-defense players on this squad.
At some point, we need to learn that Thibs can only coach players up so much defensively. That became a sobering reality last season. We need guys on this squad that come to the table with some built-in defensive chops that Thibs doesn't have to start from scratch with. He's got enough problems on his hands with LaVine, Wiggins, and KAT.

Yeah, Indiana should definitely be talking to LA. It sounds like Cleveland is in the mix too, but they basically have Love or Irving to offer and it won't be Irving. LA has more young assets to potentially trade, although none might be as good as Kevin Love.

Haha. Laughable. Can we put a end to this thread right now please. nance as a starting point for our #7 pick. Oh my!

I know you love end of bench guys but we need talent one way or another. Talent wins, those two are probably the most undervalued of potentially available players on their team. Nance would be another great 8-10th man on this team that everyone could overvalue for their RPM.

I like Nance, but he's the only one I like for us and 7 is way too steep to pay for a guy who's restricted next summer. They have ambitious goals for signing guys so I would just snipe him in free agency when they are occupied trying to land bigger fish.

It depends on how you define talent. If it's simply how high someone was drafted and their college pedigree, then yeah, I guess players like Russell and Randle are talented. But that's not how I define talent.
Nance is not an end of bench guy and RPM is not the only stat he does well in. I also view defensive talent as an acceptable form of talent. Shooting and scoring are not the only two definitions of talent, but may be it's just me.
