Wiggins is the absolute worst....
I spent the entire Grizzlies game watching him. Literally 95 percent of the game he would just stand at the 3 point line. No exaggeration. Most of the time nobody on memphis gave a damn as they could care less if he shoots it as he is probably the least efficient scorer in the league. Hell him shooting is what the defense hopes for.
If that doesnt do it for you i think i counted about 4 or 5 drives to the basket which had some success. I think i counted about 3 times he went inside for an offensive rebound. One of those being on on airball 3 he shot.
On defense he had quite the halfhearted effort most of the night. Its amazing how he puts his hands on his hips when im sure a 400 pound man that moved as often as him pry wouldnt need to cause any effort he gives is minimal at best. About the only time he wakes up is when he decides hes going to shoot. And when that happens he isnt looking for any teammates.
Also his basketball iq. Embarrassing. He is a dumbass. The play at the end of the half he throws up a lob that is easily stolen and they bury a 3 at the end. The guy is completely worthless.
Now onto trading him. If anyone wants him and will take next to anything less than the contract he is owed, preferably in years we need to jump all over that. We are wasting Towns with this pathetic loser. I dont ever want to see Wiggins again. Never have i had such hate and vitriol for a player.
End rant.

Oh, c'mon.
I mean he's not quite as bad as Rashad McCants.
To be fair, Rashad McCants was literally Satan and he stole baby souls... but seriously, Wiggins isn't quite that bad.

The writing is on the wall.

Dane Moore tweet from yesterday:
Teams have reportedly poked around with the Wolves, inquiring about Andrew Wiggins' trade availability.
Though it's extremely unlikely he is moved by the deadline... What an epic way to go out this would be.

Jon K said in his trade deadline article that teams have poked around about getting Wiggins for pennies on the dollar and the Wolves are still hoping for a Wiggins turnaround. I still think if the Wolves decide to move him there will he takers.

Addition by subtraction.
Regardless if it makes the Wolves worse in the short-term. Wiggins may very well figure things out and we'll all regret it if the Wolves move on from him in a one-sided deal.
But it's not working. And it won't work here. Some players simply need a change of scenery... fans and organizations need change, too. Think of it this way... we talk about the Wolves lack of identity. But they DO have an identity.
They are enigmatic.
And is there a more enigmatic player in the league than Andrew Wiggins over the past 5 seasons?
Time for a change. Seriously. It's time.
[Note: The question is whether the Wolves have to give up real value to unload that contract.]

Re: Wiggins is the absolute worst....
I think I sort of threw this idea out before.
Wiggins, Dieng and 1st (protected top 10)
for
Whiteside and Richardson
Whiteside is an improvement on Dieng for the short term, will be expiring next year. Richardson isn't great but he makes 15 million less over the next 4 season than Wiggins.
Could work for both teams, if anyone could get Wiggins to perform you think it would be Riley and Spo. Who knows though. They also get a 1st to help.

I'd have a hard time believing anyone willing to take on that contract. If economics were not a hurdle, I'd go get Thon Maker for him. But please tell me just one thing, why can't he shoot anymore? And I mean every facet of his shooting. 3's, finishing at the rim, free throws, even long twos.

Maybe he and Tim Hardaway Jr can get together and figure that out. Just bizzare for both guys who are not particularly efficient but yikes bad this year.
One thing that may help with Wiggins contract is he is making money based on this year's cap. Money is gonna keep going up and some teams have to weigh paying Wiggins a bunch of money or the next Lavine Hardaway Bantum etc.

Tim Hardaway, despite the poor shooting, actually grades out as a much better offensive player than Andrew Wiggins. While both grade poorly on defense... Hardaway is abysmal.
In any event, for the 4th straight season, Hardaway will finish with a + VORP. Wiggins has yet to do that in his career.
