Next 10-game prediction thread
Fresh off my impressive, albeit shared, victory in the last prediction thread, I have the honor of teeing up this one. As Lip said, all games in the next stretch are winnable...even the home game against Boston has them playing the back end of a back to back. We have 8 home games in the next 10, and the only 2 road games are against dreadful teams...and most of the teams we host are poor road teams. Further we get to play 5 games against the East, and our only second half of a BTB is very winnable against the Bulls. There will never be an easier stretch for us, so I'm going optimistic...8 wins and a 14-11 record at the end!
Re: Next 10-game prediction thread
I joined LST and weighed in predicting an 8-2 record over this 10-game stretch. I'll add the following to points to my prediction.
First, I think the Wolves MUST finish at least 8-2 in this stretch to legitimately contend for a playoff spot. I know it's pretty early to put so much stock in a particular stretch of games, but the Wolves are already behind the 8-ball this season. Given the Wolves poor start and the strength of the West, missing an opportunity to take full advantage of a particularly winnable stretch of games would really put this team even further behind the 8-ball and make playoff contention highly improbable.
Second, and think we SHOULD finish at least 8-2 in this stretch given our talent relative to the teams we're playing and the fact that 8 of these games are at home, especially considering how well this Wolves team has performed at home. In other words, no excuses. This is a stretch of games that the Wolves should be expected win and losing more than 2 games in this stretch would be unacceptable in my view if this team.

Re: Next 10-game prediction thread
I have felt good about this stretch of games and 8-2 is probably not unreasonable. My first reaction was to go 6-4 which even with this good stretch would not be a disaster. Ultimately I went for a somewhat optimistic 7-3. If the Wolves make it out of this stretch a .500 basketball team that would be a heck of an accomplishment based on the hole they were in and would be where I hoped they could be by the end of the calendar year. IF this team can be around .500 (within a game or so) with a large enough chunk in the season there is enough talent here to make a run. I want to see it. This stretch is a good opportunity to go in that direction.
Re: Next 10-game prediction thread
I picked 10-0 as it's probably the last chance for this team to get back on my 50 win pace! Well, that and I'm almost assured of being disappointed giving me more opportunities to unreasonably bash Wiggins!

Thibs and Teague better appreciate these new shooters we have and adjust. No reason why we shouldn't be bombing early and often, and that means everyone not named Taj or Dieng.
7-3.
7-3.

Well, at least Doper had the integrity to admit he is making his 9-1 prediction AFTER the game was over...unlike the other 3 guys who snuck in with votes anonymously! The polls are now CLOSED!
The Wolves should be favored in all remaining 9 games...yes, even the home game against Boston when the Celtics play the night before. Let's all cheer for the SP to win with his 10-0 prediction!

I wouldn't call it integrity. I was high when I did that. Go Wolves.

Lol.
Re: Next 10-game prediction thread
So 10-0 is looking increasingly unlikely, yes?
