About not landing Deangelo Russell yet? Over reaction?

I think our last two games are indications that we could very much use a player like D'Angelo Russell.

DLO is like a negative 60 plus minus after two games and I have watched him play and he looks pretty bad. The Warriors fan boards are skewering DLO and I love it.

Didn't bother me a bit that we didn't get him. In fact, I was vocal about not wanting him given the price.

We shouldn't have to be in a position to overpay for a player like DLO (in terms of salary and giving up assets), who IMO would be a big liability on defense and would probably take shots from KAT. I also don't see him as a positive locker room presence. We need to develop stars internally and be like Miami, Toronto or San Antonio who can develop no name talent into stars. Miami has a hit with Nunn and JRich was a second rounder they used as a key piece to land Butler. Toronto developed Lowry and now Vanvleet and they are stars. Spurs take Dejounte Murray and Derrick White with late round picks and they are both good players. I want to see us develop our own stars (for the first time in franchise history) from non-lottery picks.

We don't need him. We have Q4 Wiggy and Dieng on the bench.

In typical MN Sports fashion. Right when you start feeling good about a team is when they find a way to rip your heart out. And now we wait.
