RoCo already making a difference
RoCo plays 30 minutes for Houston and is a huge difference maker in win @LA. Not surprised at all.
And Houston is all-in on a "Big-less" lineup. RoCo and Tucker might be their biggest guys. And they are rolling.

As you noted, it's not surprising. I was in the camp believing we should trade RoCo. But I don't believe we got full value for him because I'm not that high on Beasley and we can't even know whether Beasley will be here beyond this season. But good for RoCo who was one of my favorites. He's finally back in a situation that works for him - i.e., playing a role with two bona fide stars in their prime. He was never a good fit here, although he'd be a better fit now as our SF with DLO.

So Houston just beat one of the best teams in the league... on the road... with 6'5" PJ Tucker at center.
vs. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard and Javale McGee. Heck, Howard only played 4 minutes... did he get hurt... or played off the floor?
If we needed yet another sign that the league is entirely different, this is it. But how does it affect other teams around the league. Is Houston simply an early adopter again... or just the anomaly? I bet the former.
[Note: As a guy who's played a lot of hoops in his life... below the rim... who champions Steve Nash, John Stockton and Isiah Thomas among his all-time favorite players... you'd think I'd like this small-ball revolution more than I do.]

Tucker and RoCo are just absolutely perfect fits for that Houston system and player personnel. Harden and Westbrook can carry a massive load with the ball in their hands while RoCo and Tucker just space out and hit spot up 3's. Then on the other end they can guard and switch onto any position. Westbrook's poor outside shot doesn't matter as much because all of the other 4 guys can shoot, so now his dribble drive game is back at an elite level whereas the lane was more clogged in OKC.

I'm going with an anomaly. The Warriors where the ones who started this small ball game with Green at the 5. The big difference is he's an elite all star defender. I think teams will figure Houston out and like always when they get to the playoffs things will be different.

We'll see.
It's such a copycat league.

Dantoni is a great regular season coach. He will be fired at the end of this season. Morey probably too (which is probably undeserved). Roco is a fine complimentary player, unfortunately he never really helped us win because we didnt have proper lead dogs to compliment his skills. He's going to be great in Houston until they choke in the playoffs.

Maybe. And maybe Dantoni is a bit of a gimmick coach or not good enough for the playoffs.
But some of that is luck, too.
The 2018 Rockets were definitely good enough to win a title. Then, Chris Paul was injured after the Rockets took a 3 - 2 lead. The depleted team that was left was leading in both Game 6 and Game 7 at halftime.
In Phoenix, the Suns were either the 2nd or 3rd best team multiple times. And bad luck kept them there.
- The Horry hipcheck game was disheartening... and a bit dastardly and definitely an overreaction by Stern.
- Earlier that series, in Game 1, Steve Nash was playing awesome leading a comeback when he collided with Parker and bloodied his nose. He kept returning to the game to make a big play... only to be told he had to leave because he was bleeding too much. The Suns couldn't stop the bleeding when he was off the court (ahem, ahem) and the Suns lost a close game.
- In Game 3... Tim Donaghy was a game official. The game was atrociously officiated... just saying.
- The Suns under Dantoni made the conference Finals without Stoudemire. They had former PG, Boris Diaw, playing center. That should be applauded.
- In 2005, Joe Johnson broke his face in the 2nd rd of the playoffs.
He also had Robert Sarver as an owner who made cost-cutting move after cost-cutting move in the middle of all that Suns success... to line his own inept, gold-line and ego-boosting pockets.
Titles are won on talent. Luck. Coaching. And other stuff. Sometimes, you need all of it.

He's going to be great in Houston until they choke in the playoffs. Agree with Doper, RoCo a better fit in Houston than here. Malik Beasley has more of what we need:
