We will learn a lot about the top draft prospects over the next month as we get reports on draft workouts and see more inside reports and analysis. But right now, I can already envision a few guys sliding down from where they've otherwise been expected to go. Here's my first take on who they might be:
1. Josh Jackson. He's been projected to be the 3rd pick in virtually every mock and prognostication. But as draft day approaches and teams think about Jackson's off-court incidents and get more excited about players like Isaac, Tatum and Zach Collins, I can see Jackson sliding down as far as 5 or 6, maybe even 7.
2. Monk. For a long time, Monk was projected as the likely 4th pick, but he's already sliding down in more recent mocks. Tonight's updated NBAdraft.net mock has him sliding all the way down to #8.
I see Zach Collins and Isaac rising up the list. I can actually see Isaac going as high as #3 or 4. And I can see Zach going as high as #4 or 5.
Dennis Smith is a guy who could rise or fall depending on his individual workouts and visits with teams as well as further due diligence research by lottery teams. Same for Ntilikina.
The more I reflect, the more I wish we had held onto that #6 slot. But depending on what we learn and see in the next few weeks, right now I'll be disappointed if we don't end up with Isaac, but still ok if we land Tatum or Zach Collins. If Josh Jackson slides down to us I'd probably grab him, but I'd worry about what teams have found out about him that would cause him to slide so far down. I guess I wouldn't cry if we end up with Monk because we could certainly use more three-point shooting. But I really want Isaac, Tatum or Zach Collins in that order.

Agreed staying at 6 could have been huge for us. I'm really hoping for Issac at this point.
Not stars but both Ivan Rabb and Harry Giles seem to be dropping fast. Depending on how far down they drop I wouldn't mind trading 2nd round picks to grab a late 1st and take a flyer on one of them.

We don't have 2nd round picks for a while.
