Ha, that might be a little dramatic, but I can't blame you for being frustrated.

I sometimes wonder if the biggest disservice Thibs did to KAT was have him guard PFs on defense and ask him to play option 1A/B on offense. His impact defensively has been horrific as a result - not because he can't guard PFs, but because Gorgui essentially is the guy stuck anchoring our defense and KAT views himself as too important to get fouls, etc. And then on offense, he's making the game far more difficult than it needs to be. Ugh.

I know, what was Glen thinking combine that with the fact that our highest paid player has never been over .500 and is averaging 7 pts per game and is getting worse and we owe him 41 million still talk about a fraud

I agree with this take so much. KAT is a 5, G is a back up big.

Ding, ding, ding. Starting Dieng out of necessity.

Thibs wasn't my guy, but I'm still not ready to start bagging on him for this miserable season. However, we better see some progress over the next 25 games. I'm willing to bet Glen is a little worried about his investment at this point.

Here is some fuel to the fire for Team Ricky and LST - our two loudest Thibs opponents:

Andrew Wiggins (PER and WS/48):
2015/16: 16.5 and .069
2015/17: 15.3 and .060
STAGNANT

Karl-Anthony Towns:

2015/16: 22.5 and .151
2015/17: 22.2 and .147
STAGNANT

Zach LaVine
2015/16: 14.3 and .054
2016/17: 16.7 and .116
IMPROVED (but how much is because he hasn't played any PG this year? His "improvement" began with his switch to SG late last year!)

Gorgui Dieng
2015/16: 17.1 and .127
2016/17: 14.2 and .100
REGRESSED - CAREER LOWS IN BOTH METRICS

Ricky Rubio
2015/16: 17.6 and .119 (CAREER HIGHS IN BOTH METRICS)
2016/17: 13.5 and .098
REGRESSED - CAREER LOW IN PER

Nemanja Bjelica
2015/16: 11.2 and .087
2016/17: 10.8 and .060
REGRESSED

Shabazz Muhammed
2015/16: 15.2 and .077
2016/17: 11.9 and .055
REGRESSED

Cole Aldrich
2015/16: 21.3 and .209
2016/17: 14.4 and .146
REGRESSED

I'm not enough of a basketball guru to dole out blame which is why I say everyone is right to a degree when pointing fingers, but these are once again damning, daming stats. Really? EVERY player has regressed or stagnated except Zach (and one could argue he hasn't necessarily improved as a SG, just that he's better at SG than PG)? Really!?! That has NOTHING to do with Thibs system????

Take Rubio for instance, a lot of people's favorite punching bag (and understandably so). He had a career year just last season! He had a positive net rating. Those are above average numbers for those metrics. Has he really gotten that worse over the course of one off season?

You can go on down the line and every player we know worked hard this offseason and came into the year healthy. What has happened?

What....did Rubio get outplayed by another athletic drive first type PG? I see the break down of his play that makes others adjust which causes guys to be out of position and reaching instead of moving there feet. Plus, when he can not create a shot offensively, all the other teams need to do is shut one of the Three (Lavine, Wiggins, KAT) down and game set match.

Trade Rubio, and Bazz for Noel and Gerald Henderson. Whatever it takes to make it happen.

Dunn, Lavine, Wiggins, Noel, KAT
Jones, Henderson, Rush, Bjelica, Dieng

Time to make a move and it's time to get nasty. Noel and Henderson will get us defensive and Dieng and Henderson will anchor our Bench which he needs to do. Tired of this 4th quarter give up!

You're way off base on this one, Q, and maybe Tim McCarver can set you straight with his comment about Bob Gibson: "Gibson is the luckiest pitcher in baseball...he's always pitching when the other team doesn't score any runs!".

Well, Thibs is clearly the unluckiest coach in basketball...he took the Wolves' job at the exact time every player decided to start playing worse!

See how it works?
