"Wigg is a great basketball player. He cannot pick and choose when he wants to play. We need him to play like this every night. He needs help, we're all going to help him, but he's our leader. He needs to play like this every night."

Saw it on NBC too.

Is that leadership? I agree with GD.

Do you guys read this strictly as "Wiggins needs help on the court" or does anyone else think there may be something more here? More and more I'm starting to think Wiggins is dealing with some off the court issues that we don't know about.

I read that as G strictly stating that Wiggins needs to pull his head from his ass and find the same motivation night in, night out.

I don't think the problem is off the court because the single biggest knock against Wiggins pre-draft was he had an inconsistent motor, and three years later it's still inconsistent. He has the raw ability to be a top 10 player in the NBA but thus far doesn't appear to have the desire to do the work to reach that status.

G needs to stop letting his man shoot 80%

Wigg's fanboys are so insecure.

You're absolutely right, and I've been a big advocate for moving him to the bench, but the one thing that I can say for Gorgui is that he brings maximum (or near maximum) effort every game. My biggest concern with Andrew is that we rarely see maximum effort from him. I know it's a subjective thing, but you can tell when a guy is putting out and when a guy is holding back or playing lackadaisical -- the latter suits him accurately, unfortunately. At least one teammate has taken notice. I would not be surprised if others have as well.

If he's giving maximum effort and Gortat is perfect from the field hes got awareness problems that shouldn't make him call anyone out.

I'm not a huge fan of going to the media with perceived problems with another player. That's just my philosophy of team.
