Trending Up vs. Trending Down (Wolves vs. Cavs GT)

Post by ItsJustSoSab »

The Wolves after many many many....many seasons of terribleness and dysfunctional players/coaches and owner are finally on the up and up. Yes, there are indeed flaws still and we can debate Thibs, Wiggins, Teague, Glenn, and all the other stuff, but isn't nice to finally have a good team (not great, but good)? Now look at the Cavs, they love Irving and even with All Stars and more talent than the Wolves they are going the opposite way. Just nice to see a team that has been pretty good most of the time the Wolves were god awful struggling quite a bit right now.

This is a trap game.

It's one of those games where you cannot give them any hope. The Cavs probably think tonight is rock bottom. No. It has to be tomorrow night.

The Cavs might be slumping, but I don't see any game against them as a "trap" game. They still have a winning record and LeBron James. They should be favored to win.

Wolves are 2.5 pt favorites right now. I think it is a game that we should completely dominate. They really have nothing other than Lebron right now, and seemed to be a complete mess chemistry wise.

Will say one thing, the games we have struggled with are away games against the east or teams that have been struggling lately. We struggle to get up for those games. Hopefully because we are playing LeBron we will be motivated to dominate. Also we should get the Wiggins Cavs game again.

Its a bit of a trap game for us because the bulls are on deck.

You know jimmy wants that game and we know the team wants to get it for him considering how bad we've been vs lottery teams in the East.

Cleveland is reeling right now... especially defensively. They played on the road last night... and had to travel back to Cleveland. They just were outscored 65 - 31 in the 2nd half vs. Orlando.

ORLANDO! And the Magic were on the 2nd night of a back-to-back after upsetting Miami in a close on the night before. Just a terrible loss for the Cavs who were once up 21 points in the game.

The Wolves come in healthy and rested (3 nights off). Good teams put their foot on the Cavs proverbial neck in this type of game.

Cleveland will be very motivated to stanch the bleeding. I just don't buy that this is somehow a game we should be heavily favored to win. We're playing a team with a winning record on their home court. Our track record on the road against Eastern Conference teams, even the worst of the worst, is horrible.

They have been much better at home than on the road recently.

By the way, 8 of the Cavs' last 9 losses have been by double digits... including 5 by at least 18 points.

[Note: As for motivation... I don't know what to think about Cleveland at this point. They simply aren't a normal type of team. For example, I'd have expected more from them after the 30+ point shellacking vs. Houston. So much attention on so much disarray and tension... ]
