Buyout Guys

Post by kekgeek »

Thought I should create the thread because it is that time of the season.

Tony Allen and Greg Monroe are being bought out

Is Allen healthy? Could move into the Roberson role in OKC... considering they're both worthless on offense at this point...

Vince Carter should be any moment now as well...

I take Greg Monroe in a heartbeat. Cut Aldrich.....like the dude, but he is simply not an NBA player.

Sounds like he is going to the pelicans (to start) or Boston (compete for a championship). Don't think he would get enough run on the wolves

Waiting on a productive buyout option to fall in our lap isn't the move if we really want to get better. Being progressive on the trade front definitely could. You all know my position.

Just waiting on that Joe Johnson buyout. He was big for Utah in the playoffs last year. Could give our bench a similar bump and help us play small ball if needed.

Great, another guy that needs the ball in the paint....

If nothing else, id take him over what mgh and bazz give us.

Allen would give us a stabilizing defensive identity on the second unit.

Give teague a few minutes with the bench to add some offense along with bjelly and crawford.

I'd be interested in adding Monroe and using him like the Thunder and Knicks use Kanter, but I'd bet he ends up with one of the Pelicans (easiest and best fit for him), Cavs, Celtics, or Thunder.

And if we did get him, that'd only give me more reason to deal Dieng for help at the wing positions.

Our best option is still via trade and using the MLE this summer.
