yeah we should totally fire Thibs he's the one with decades of success, he is the problem and just isn't able to relate to our established losers
we need Vinny Del Negro
in all seriousness the fanbase has fallen victim to the media hype, they have already anointed us the next OKC when our core is still incredibly young, terrible defensively, and a late season short stretch last year we won a few games where we had absolutely nothing to play for and somehow that meant we had turned the corner.

Yeah, there perhaps was too much frothing at the mouth coming into this season. But we're on track to win 20 games right now. Considering the fact most folks here would have been disappointed with anything less than 41 wins, that is massively underachieving.

you know a lot of us laughed at the "verteren leadership" by players who rarely even saw the court last year but damn if I didn't wish we had Tayshaun Prince, Andre Miller, or KG on the team right now

So who chose not to have those players on the team? Who pulled the strings?

well MIller was let go in the middle of last season and KG had a falling out with Glen over ownership issues so if you want to pin Tayshaun on Thibs I guess you got him lol

You can stay in denial about Thibs/KG.

you can state facts as well too, the fact that KG was in ownership stake talks while Flip was still alive and now KG is nowhere to be seen, fact that Sam has said on record that KG was disgusted with how everything went down at the end of last off season, what facts do you have about Thibs and KG?
Re: hmmm is it highly respected Thibs, or arguably the worst NBA franchise
Do people really think we're worse than last season is the absence of KG, Miller and Prince? Wow. The team was at its best by far late in the season when KG wasn't playing at all and was, in fact, sitting quietly in street cloths not even talking to players. Miller was sitting quietly on the bench. Prince was the only one contributing and it was through his play in the court coming off the bench. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have KG and Prince with this team not, but I'm not going to kid myself into believing we'd be a materially better team.

I agree, Lip, but I would put it slightly differently. I agree that it's not fair to compare the horrible start to this season to the promising start of last season because KG and Tay were such an important part of last year's 8-8 start. I get that. But to your point, KG contributed next to nothing the final 60+ games of the year, and Sam also deemphasized Prince after the first half of the year as he turned the keys over to his young studs. Less veteran influence is NOT a valid reason for the huge difference in performance from the end of last year to the beginning of this year...in fact with Cole getting regular minutes this year, I would argue that there is more veteran presence on the floor this year than at the end of last year. Nope, it something else.
